Trevor Megill retired the Astros in order in the ninth inning on Tuesday evening, protecting a one-run lead to earn his fourth save of the season.
Save chances have been few and far between for the Brewers this season, so when Megill’s number was called on Tuesday night, he didn’t mess around. He needed just six pitches (all strikes) to retire Jake Meyers, Victor Caratini and Brendan Rodgers in succession. Through his first 13 appearances on the season, the 31-year-old right-hander boasts a 3.48 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and a 14/6 K/BB ratio across 10 1/3 innings.
