Austin Gomber tossed five scoreless innings and got a no-decision in the Rockies’ 10-1 victory over the Braves on Sunday.
Gomber gave up two hits, walked one and struck out four. The 31-year-old left-hander was making his first start of the year after dealing with a shoulder injury. Gomber stymied the Braves’ offense for all five innings, but didn’t get the win as Colorado’s offensive explosion came after he left the game. Gomber still isn’t much of a fantasy asset as a finesse pitcher who makes half of his starts at Coors Field. He’ll face the Diamondbacks at home next weekend.
