Janson Junk struggled in a no-decision against the Giants on Thursday afternoon, surrendering five runs on eight hits over his 3 2/3 innings.
The 29-year-old right-hander struck out one batter on the day and didn’t allow a base on balls. He served up a two-run homer to Rafael Devers in the third inning, then the Giants added another three runs while chasing Junk in the fourth inning. Junk generated four whiffs on 73 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to get back in the win column as he brings a 3.73 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 26/2 K/BB ratio (31 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Twins.
