J.R. Realmuto had an RBI single and a go-ahead two-run homer in the eighth inning in the Phillies’ 6-4 win over the Mariners on Tuesday.
Realmuto has been spending a lot of time in the cleanup spot for someone who pretty obviously isn’t a cleanup hitter at this stage of his career, but he made good tonight. In fact, he had as many RBI in this game as he did in his previous 18 starts batting fourth. Realmuto’s homer, a 431-foot bomb, was the just the second allowed by Matt Brash in 33 1/3 innings this season.
