Williams is just 5-foot-7, but he packs some punch anyway, coming in at .262/.363/.465 with 17 homers and 34 steals between Double- and Triple-A last year. He’s still mostly a shortstop at this point, but he’s logged time in center and at second base, and center might wind up being his best position. He just turned 22 in November, and he probably needs another full year in the minors, but he projects as a regular somewhere, and his speed makes him particularly intriguing as a fantasy prospect.

Ureña had five strikeouts, including three of Munetaka Murakami. He allowed just three hard-hit balls. Ureña is still far from being a mixed-league option, but his 3.22 ERA in four starts and two relief appearances is nice, even if it is the product of six of his 14 runs allowed being unearned. He’s struck out 22 and walked 16 in 22 1/3 innings. He’ll likely make his next start Tuesday in Cleveland.

Silseth entered with a five-run lead, so it wasn’t a save situation. However, he might be a candidate for some of those at some point. He has a 2.70 ERA and three holds through 13 1/3 innings.

Schultz walked four and settled for just three strikeouts even though he had 12 whiffs. In five starts since his callup, he’s sporting a 23/16 K/BB ratio in 25 innings, which isn’t going to cut it. Of course, he will get better, but he might spend a little more time in Triple-A before he establishes himself. For now, though, he should stay in the rotation and face the Royals next week.

Teodosio is easily the Angels’ best center fielder, but with Mike Trout most comfortable in the middle, Teodosio has been starting in left when both play. While he’s definitely not known for his bat, he’s hit a respectable .278/.333/.333 with four steals in 40 plate appearances. Most likely, he’s going to be needed in center at some point during the season.

It’s the second golden sombrero for Murakami, whose 55 strikeouts place him tied for second most in the majors. He’s still tied for first with his 14 homers.

Ríos will presumably stick around as emergency organizational relief depth for the Cubs after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 32-year-old righty tossed 1 2/3 innings in his lone appearance for Chicago prior to being designated for assignment last weekend.

Johnson will test the open market after going unclaimed on waivers after being removed from Houston’s roster earlier this week. The 30-year-old journeyman went 2-for-14 at the plate in eight games for the Astros.

Sandlin went unclaimed on waivers after being removed from Los Angeles’ relief corps earlier this week. The 29-year-old struggled to an 11.42 ERA over 8 2/3 innings with the Angels this season.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Polanco isn’t close to starting a rehab assignment. The 32-year-old hit the injured list with a right wrist contusion back on April 18. Clearly, the Mets aren’t going to rush him back after he missed time with wrist and Achilles issues last month.

Senga has progressed to playing catch after hitting the shelf last week with lumbar spine inflammation. The 33-year-old righty is going to need a couple weeks to ramp-up his throwing program before he’s an option for the Mets. What exactly his role will be once he’s ready to return is a complete unknown.
