DL Hall gave up one run in two innings in his start Thursday against the Guardians.
The run was a product of a walk, a wild pitch and a single in the first. Hall ended up with a nice 44% CSW in the 34-pitch outing. Unlike Aaron Ashby, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be stretched out enough to open the season at the back of the rotation, but he should make the Brewers as a middle reliever.

Brewers placed RHP Quinn Priester on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to March 22, with thoracic outlet syndrome.
The most optimistic estimate puts Priester’s potential return sometime around late April or early May. Given the serious nature of the nerve-related issue he’s recovering from, fantasy managers should anticipate Milwaukee taking a cautious approach with his ramp-up process. The 25-year-old’s absence opens the door for Brandon Sproat and Kyle Harrison to get early-season looks in the majors.
Lodolo's injury shakes up Reds' fantasy SP options
With Nick Lodolo yet again lost to an early-season injury, James Schiano evaluates what fantasy managers can expect from the Cincinnati Reds' rotation, where Chase Burns will be relied upon to "steady the ship."
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #58
Brewers placed LHP Rob Zastryzny on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to March 22, with a left shoulder strain.
Zastryzny’s absence is a hit to Milwaukee’s left-handed relief depth at the outset of the year. The 33-year-old journeyman made 26 appearances for the Brewers last year, finishing with a 2.45 ERA and 20/10 K/BB ratio over 22 innings of work.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #48
Brewers placed RHP Craig Yoho on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to March 22, with a right calf strain.
Yoho has put up otherworldly numbers in the minor leagues throughout his career, but wound up getting hit really hard in his first taste of the majors last year. The 26-year-old will be an option for Milwaukee in middle relief situations at some point in a few weeks, if not sooner.
  • MIL Right Fielder #35
Brewers placed OF Steward Berroa on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to March 22, with a right shoulder strain.
Berroa is likely to head to Triple-A Nashville as organizational depth once he wraps up a minor league rehab assignment. The 26-year-old outfielder appeared in two games for the Brewers last year.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #50
Brewers optioned RHP Easton McGee to Triple-A Nashville.
McGee is one of the final cuts from Brewers camp after failing to land a spot in their season-opening bullpen as a long reliever. The 28-year-old righty made a career-high nine appearances for Milwaukee last year. He’s merely organizational depth at this stage of his career.
  • TB Starting Pitcher #44
Ryan Pepiot (hip) has been cleared to resume throwing this weekend.
Pepiot landed on the injured list earlier this week with right hip inflammation after posting a microscopic 0.90 ERA across 10 innings this spring. The 28-year-old righty could be ready to jump back into Tampa Bay’s rotation at some point in early April, barring any setbacks.
  • NYY 1st Baseman #22
Rice is at first base and batting cleanup in Wednesday’s season opener against the Giants.
Rice steps into the heart of New York’s loaded lineup behind Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger following last year’s 26-homer breakthrough campaign. The 27-year-old slugger’s realistic 30-homer ceiling makes him an upper-echelon fantasy catcher heading into the regular season. Here’s the full lineup set to face Giants ace Logan Webb at Oracle Park in primetime: Trent Grisham (CF), Judge (RF), Bellinger (LF), Rice (1B), Giancarlo Stanton (DH), Jazz Chisholm Jr. (2B), José Caballero (SS), Ryan McMahon (3B) and Austin Wells (C).
  • SF Left Fielder #17
Heliot Ramos is in left field and batting sixth in Wednesday’s season opener against the Yankees.
San Francisco kicks off a new era under first-year skipper Tony Vitello — the first collegiate coach to jump directly to the majors with no previous big-league experience — with Ramos becoming the first Giants player to make consecutive Opening Days starts in left field since Barry Bonds in 2007. The other notable fantasy development is free agent acquisition Luis Arraez in the leadoff spot. Here’s the full lineup set to face Yankees ace Max Fried in primetime on at Oracle Park: Arraez (2B), Matt Chapman (3B), Rafael Devers (DH), Willy Adames (SS), Jung Hoo Lee (RF), Ramos (LF), Casey Schmitt (1B), Patrick Bailey (C) and Harrison Bader (CF).
  • PHI Center Fielder #91
Phillies selected the contracts of OF Justin Crawford and RHP Andrew Painter.
This just makes official what’s been obvious for weeks. Crawford will start in center field and hit ninth against righties. He’ll probably get a fair amount of time versus lefties, too, at least initially. He actually did a little better against them (.250/.286/.400) than versus righties (.250/.294/.313) this spring. Painter is expected to make his major league debut Tuesday against the Nationals.
  • PHI Shortstop #70
Phillies selected the contract of SS Christian Cairo and optioned him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Cairo, 24, apparently got an offer to join another team with his upward mobility clause, but the Phillies trumped that by placing him on the 40-man here, even though they immediately sent him down. Cairo spent seven years in the Guardians system before signing a minor league deal with the Phillies in the offseason. He hit just .194/.293/.278 in camp, but he does offer value with his glove.
