Bradley easily outdueled Tarik Skubal, just as everyone predicted. The right-hander followed up his impressive six scoreless against the Twins on Thursday with another outstanding effort; touching 98 mph with his fastball and generating 15 swings and misses on 47 swings (32 percent). Bradley has flashes this ability before, but hasn’t been able to put it together on a consistent basis since joining the bigs in 2023. At the age of 25, it wouldn’t be a huge shock if 2026 was the campaign where he did it, but the sample remains small. Let’s see how he fares against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

There had been speculation that he could be replaced after he had his start skipped on Saturday, but it was just a case of the Brewers utilizing an off day to adjust their rotation. It sounds like he’ll slot back in at some point next week and is available out of the Brewers’ bullpen on Friday.

Moreno appeared to tweak something while throwing to second base during the second inning. The severity of the issue remains unclear — as does the amount of time (if any) that he’ll stand to miss. The Diamondbacks should have a clearer picture on his status after seeing how he feels on Saturday.

While Pederson starts against most right-handers, he’ll get a breather in this one against his former squad while Andrew McCutchen starts in his place as the designated hitter and will bat fifth against Tyler Glasnow. Look for Pederson to return to action at some point over the weekend.

O’Neill has caught whatever has been going around the Orioles’ clubhouse and will be held out of action on Friday night as a result. Leody Taveras will take his place in the Orioles’ lineup and will bat seventh against Giants’ right-hander Landen Roupp.

Donovan had been feeling a bit under the weather so the Mariners thought it wise to give him the night off. Leo Rivas will start in his place at third base and bat ninth while J.P. Crawford serves as the M’s leadoff hitter against Tatsuya Imai and the Astros on Friday evening in Seattle.

Yankees’ general manager Brian Cashman told reporters on Friday that the plan is for Volpe to serve as the team’s starting shortstop upon his return. He missed the entirety of spring training, so he’s going to need at least a few weeks’ worth of at-bats in the minor leagues before he’s an option to help out at the Major League level. Barring any setbacks, he should be ready at some point in early May.
