The move will clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Jack Anderson, who will be called up Tuesday. Oviedo has a flexor strain and isn’t expect to start throwing until the middle of May. The move to the 60-day list doesn’t change his timeline at all.

it’s the first complete game in the 37-year-old’s big league career. Kelly struck out three batters in the contest and did not allow a base on balls. The only blemish on his day came on a solo homer off the bat of Hunter Goodman in the home half of the first inning. The Diamondbacks staked him to a 6-0 lead before he even took the mound and he was in cruise control the entire night. He fired 73 of his 100 pitches for strikes, getting seven whiffs and posting a CSW of 22 percent. He’ll try to further improve upon his 5.91 ERA and 1.54 WHIP when he does battle against the Giants at home on Wednesday.

Goodman clobbered a 387-foot (111.4 mph EV) solo shot in the first inning, but all that did was pull the Rockies to within five runs at 6-1. That would be their only offense in the game. The 26-year-old backstop finished the evening 1-for-4 and is now hitting .247/.310/.513 with 11 homers and 19 RBI on the season.

Pozo entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Thomas Saggese who had pinch-run for Ivan Herrera earlier in the contest. He made the most of his lone at-bat, ambushing a first-pitch fastball from Steven Cruz and punching it into right field to plate Nathan Church with the game-winning run. May also issued four free passes while striking out three in the ballgame. For the season, the 28-year-old outfielder is slashing an uninspiring .225/.345/.342 with three homers, 15 RBI and a pair of stolen bases (in five attempts).

The veteran right-hander struck out five batters in the ballgame while issuing only one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball as Jordan Walker socked a two-run dinger in the fourth inning and Pedro Pages added a solo shot in the fifth. Wacha got 12 swings and misses on 87 pitches on the night, posting a strong CSW of 33 percent. He’ll try to get back in the win column as he brings an outstanding 2.83 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and a 47/18 K/BB ratio (57 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Red Sox.
