Brenton Doyle went 0-for-2 with a walk, a steal, and a run scored in the Rockies’ loss to the Reds on Thursday afternoon.
Doyle plays against all lefties but shares center field with Jake McCarthy against right-handers. Thursday’s theft was his seventh of the year. Doyle is base-stealing at a more aggressive clip than in 2024, when he swiped 30 bags. It’ll be hard to replicate that 23/30 campaign without regular playing time, however. His batting line has also failed to live up to the .260 average and .186 ISO he posted that year.
