Jump walked a career-high six batters, but it didn’t hurt him severely until the fourth inning. After issuing a pair of one-out walks, he gave up a two-run single to Gleyber Torres. He walked another batter before being pulled for Elvis Alvarado, who served up a two-run double to close the book on Jump’s afternoon. The rookie southpaw has walked 14 batters in 14 1/3 innings over his last three starts, so he’s much too erratic to trust in mixed fantasy leagues. He’ll get the Red Sox on the road next time out.

Torkelson got the scoring started with a two-run double in the first and later added on with an RBI single in the eighth. The 26-year-old now has four straight multi-hit games to his credit, and five in his last six. Thanks to the hot stretch, his OPS (.738) is now at its highest point since the start of July.

The Dodgers are calling the issue “minor,” but it’s significant enough for him to be out of the lineup. Consider Rushing day-to-day, and Eliezer Alfonso Jr. will instead handle backstop duties for Sunday’s contest.

Valencia was right in the middle of the action as the Tigers plated four runs in the fourth inning and four runs in the eighth. The 26-year-old has done nothing but hit when called upon this season, as now owns a ridiculous .452/.469/.935 batting line through 32 plate appearances. He deserves more opportunities down the stretch for Detroit.

The Tigers drew nine walks in the game and Torres had four of them himself. He scored three runs on the afternoon and also came up with a big hit with a two-run double in the fourth. Torres was pretty quiet after coming off the IL two weeks ago, but he’s now amassed nine RBI over his last five games.

Cornelio is sent down to make room for Yovanny Cruz after Cruz was acquired in a five-player trade. Cornelio will likely be back before 2026 comes to an end.

The Mariners nearly gave the game away in the late innings, but the rookie came up clutch with the first walk-off hit of his career. The stage was set after Josh Naylor led off the bottom of the ninth with a single off Yoendrys Gomez. While Cal Raleigh stuck out for the first out of the frame, Victor Robles followed with a single before Emerson punched a single to left to end it. The 21-year-old went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored on the afternoon, giving him just his second multi-hit game since July 4.

He was denied the win after the bullpen faltered in the late innings. Kirby allowed just five hits — all of them singles — while walking one and striking out three. It was a nice bounceback outing for Kirby after he was crushed for seven runs, including four homers, in his last outing against the Rangers. He lowered his ERA to 3.76 with the win, and barring a last-minute trade, he lines up to face the Rays in his next start on Saturday.

He gave up seven hits in all while walking four. Bradley put himself in an immediate hole by giving up a two-run double to Josh Naylor in the first inning. Despite the number of baserunners, he managed to hold the Mariners to just one run the rest of the way. After striking out 10 batters in his last outing, Bradley recorded a season-low two strikeouts in this one. He’ll try to get back in the win column next weekend against the Brewers.

Muñoz surrendered a leadoff opposite-field homer to Luke Keaschall which just sneaked over the right field fence. He would go on to give up a single and a walk to push the go-ahead run into scoring position, but struck out Josh Bell and got Kody Clemens on a fly out to escape further damage. This was Muñoz’s first blown save since way back on June 7 against the Tigers. Meanwhile, the home run was the first he’s given up since May 26. There’s no cause for concern here.
