Neto is still dealing with some side effects from a scary-looking home-plate collision during Saturday’s game against the Rays that left him with whiplash symptoms. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It’ll be Oswald Peraza taking over at shortstop in his absence.

It seems like a routine day off for the struggling first baseman, who is slashing .259/.338/.349 with six home runs and 44 RBI in 456 plate appearances. He has a career-low 6.7 percent barrel rate and 43.6 percent hard-hit rate on the season in what has been an incredibly disappointing year. Kazuma Okamoto will first start at first base and bat second, with Josh Smith starting at third base and batting sixth.

After the Mets’ flurry of moves in the offseason, there was plenty of speculation that the relationship between Soto and Lindor was fractured. This would seem to give those rumors a little bit more credence. Castillo mentioned that “tension” was lingering, so sources mentioned “that Peralta in June arranged for the two stars to vent and work through their disconnect.” Peralta and Lindor have confirmed that the meeting occurred, but Castillo reports that “Soto denied such a meeting happened.” The last part is not the best indicator that things have improved, but if Peralta could have helped make that relationship more palatable, it would potentially be his lasting legacy as a member of the 2026 Mets.

The 35-year-old was hitting .213/.342/.262 in 73 plate appearances in the Mets’ minor league across three levels. He’ll likely be able to sign a minor league contract with another team that isn’t focused solely on developing younger players in the minors.

With both Dalton Rushing (elbow) and Will Smith (neck) on the injured list, Feduccia and Ben Rortvedt are the two catchers on the Dodgers’ active roster. Both hit left-handed, and today’s start is against a left-handed pitcher, so it’s still unclear who will see the majority of starts against righties. This will likely remain a muddled situation that we don’t want to chase in fantasy leagues.

Simon hit .330/.419/.470 with 33 stolen bases for Triple-A Indianapolis this season while playing mostly in the outfield. The 26-year-old is a switch-hitter and could begin taking some at-bats away from Esmerlyn Valdez, who has really been struggling of late.

Ozuna signed a one-year, $12 million contract this offseason, but has only hit .203/.286/.327 with eight home runs, 29 RBI, and a 28.6 percent strikeout rate in 280 plate appearances. It was an interesting swing for the Pirates in free agency, but it just didn’t work out.

Arroyo has enjoyed a breakout season. The 21-year-old hit well in 65 games at Double-A and is now slashing .352/.398/.549 in 21 games at Triple-A with three home runs, 19 RBI, two steals, and a 17/5 K/BB ratio. His contact quality doesn’t suggest a ton of MLB power right now, but he’s consistently putting line drives in the gaps and making elite contact in the zone. He’s an interesting name to watch for 2027.

The 21-year-old is now hitting .273/.343/.545 in 21 games at Triple-A with five home runs, 13 RBI, 13 runs scored, and one steal. He does have 32 strikeouts in 21 games, so there are some contact issues that need to be ironed out, but he’s adapting well to being one step away from the big leagues.

Soroka struck out one and walked two while throwing 37 of his 57 pitches for strikes. Before this start, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said his “gut feel: was that Soroka would only need one rehab start, so that would potentially mean the right-hander could return on Monday to face the Rockies at home. Given that Soroka was only at 57 pitches in this game, we wouldn’t expect much more than 70 in that start against Colorado.

Snell also struck out three and threw 41 of his 73 pitches for strikes. It was clearly not his best outing, but we don’t want to read too much into starts in the PCL. Seeing better command would make us feel a little better about Snell’s immediate results when he returns from elbow surgery, but his velocity looked good, and he was up to 73 pitches, so he should be good to rejoin the Dodgers’ rotation. There may be some command bumps in the early going, but Snell figures to be an impactful fantasy starter down the stretch.
