Cole Anthony – Orlando (vs. Houston) - DK: $7,000 / FD: $6,100 / Yahoo: $25
I’m kicking off tonight’s lineups with a high-minutes, high-usage guard from the game with the most fantasy potential on the slate. Both of these teams rank in the Top 4 in overall fantasy points allowed, with Houston being the league-best matchup at most positions, including PG. The Rockets also play at the fastest pace, and turn the ball over at the highest rate. Anthony should be well past his ankle injury that bothered him before the break, and ready to take advantage of this great matchup as he did earlier in the season.

Also Consider: Fred VanVleet, Dejounte Murray, Luka Doncic, Alec Burks, Kevin Porter Jr.

James Harden – Philadelphia (at Minnesota) - DK: $10,900 / FD: $9,600 / Yahoo: $44

No question, Harden is more a GPP play than I normally include here, but I think with the risk could come a great reward. He’s more affordable than usual, gets a plus matchup with the Timberwolves in what Vegas has as a high-scoring and close game. I have no issue saving a bit and going safer with one of the guys in “also consider”, but if you’re feeling like taking a risk or looking for an alternate tournament lineup, Harden checks all the boxes.

Also Consider: Devin Booker, Tyrese Haliburton, Donovan Mitchell, Gary Trent Jr., Terrence Mann

Buddy Hield – Indiana (vs. Oklahoma City) - DK: $6,300 / FD: $6,800 / Yahoo: $19

The probable return of Malcolm Brogdon tonight may have some folks hesitating on Haliburton or Hield, but of the two, I think Hield is the safer play. This game is another great matchup for the Pacers, as the Thunder give up the second-most overall fantasy points and rank fourth to small forwards. Hield has fit in well with his new team and returned good value in 37-39 MPG. I would expect Brogdon to be on some kind of minutes limit to test out the Achilles for the first time in a long time, and to cut into Haliburton’s higher-salaried upside more than Hield’s.

Also Consider: LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Cameron Johnson

Scottie Barnes – Toronto (at Charlotte) - DK: $5,800 / FD: $5,800 / Yahoo: $23

I’m taking a more middle-of-the-road approach to lineups tonight, partly in order to build in a lot of stability around a guy like Harden. Barnes fits the bill with his ability to contribute in every category just about every night. Thus, even when he’s not shooting great, he can still approach or exceed 30 fantasy points. Charlotte plays at a much higher pace than the Raptors, ranks 29th in rebounding rate, and has excellent DvP to opposing forwards (and the fifth-most overall fantasy points allowed). This game should also be high-scoring and close, and I love loading up on the Raptors tonight as much as possible.

Also Consider: Kyle Kuzma, Oshae Brissett/Terry Taylor, Keldon Johnson, Wendell Carter Jr.

Jakob Poeltl – San Antonio (at Washington) - DK: $7,300 / FD: $7,700 / Yahoo: $29

There are too many good games tonight, and I’m trying to optimize my exposures in all of them. Among several attractive Spurs players tonight, Poeltl is my top choice thanks to his positional DvP (fourth-best), price, and likelihood of putting up a double-double. He’s so close every night, and is also a good bet for a multi-block game. Prior to the break he was averaging well over two blocks per game.

Also Consider: Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns, Pascal Siakam, Christian Wood , Deandre Ayton

Additional Notes

Cam Johnson (G/F – PHX) is coming off a great game, perhaps an indicator of how Chris Paul’s absence is going to play out. He’s still extremely cheap, which is the main reason I’m including him here. Yes, I like his skill set, but I think there are going to be better games for Ayton (starting tonight) as well as for guys like Aaron Holiday. For tonight, I like him as a cheap filler with that 35-fantasy point upside.

Russell Westbrook (PG – LAL) would get a major boost if LeBron James is ruled out, but he still warrants a look given that the Lakers will be without Anthony Davis for the foreseeable future. Westbrook is especially cheap on FanDuel ($7000), but also reasonable on Yahoo ($29).

Oshae Brissett (F – IND) is a player who I think has earned the right to frontcourt minutes for the Pacers. Both he and Terry Taylor have played well in the wake of all the injuries and trades, but I trust Brissett a little bit more. His defense can definitely keep him on the court, and he’s demonstrated the ability to make a difference in every phase of the game. His salary has really come up on FanDuel, but I like him at $16 on Yahoo tonight.
