NOTES

It feels like Milwaukee has all the momentum heading into Game 4. Vegas has the Bucks minus-6.5 points after winning the last two. If we get bad news about Trae Young’s foot, that spread will surely increase. Giannis Antetokounmpo is also on the injury report, but listed as probable for tonight’s game. I think both stars likely take the court tonight, along with Bogdan Bogdanovic, but it’ll be smart to keep an eye on the late-breaking news to be sure.

TOP PLAYS

Giannis Antetokounmpo – F – MIL

The calf soreness hasn’t impacted Antetokounmpo’s fantasy output to any kind of degree that I could consider not using him tonight. Yes, he’s still the priciest player on the slate, but I think going with the three star Bucks is the way to go tonight, given the uncertainty with Young. Giannis is averaging around 30 points per game in the playoffs, over 10 rebounds per game, and appears to be gaining steam.

Khris Middleton – F – MIL

Middleton frequently makes the list thanks to his substantial floor, but he’s really showing off his upside in this series. He’s coming off a 38-point game with 11 rebounds and seven assists. He won’t always score so much, but the multi-category peripheral production is a given. We’ll look at how the Hawks might stay in this series, but using any of the higher priced Hawks over Middleton carries some risk.

Jrue Holiday – G – MIL

Like Middleton, Holiday deserves a spot in all high-floor lineups. Even in a worst-case scoring scenario like he had in Game 3 (six points), Holiday earned us 37 fantasy points with 12 assists, two steals and two blocks.

NOTABLE BARGAINS

Bobby Portis – F/C – MIL

Portis is filling a critical role for the Bucks in this series. Playing only a maximum of 18 minutes so far, he is averaging about 22 fantasy points per game. He’s a talented defender, disrupting Atlanta’s game plans time and again. $4400 (DK), $11 (Yahoo), and $8500 (FD) is all it costs to save with safety.

Lou Williams – SG – ATL

I’m still waiting for Williams to make an impact on this series and time is running out. With Young potentially out or at least hindered by his foot injury, it feels like now or never. The Hawks haven’t given him enough minutes to find a groove and/or he hasn’t found his shot early enough when he is on the court. We know he’s capable of an offensive takeover; it’s a role that’s earned him multiple sixth-man honors over his career. Down two games in a row, Atlanta needs to shake it up and Williams could be that guy (not without risk).

Kevin Huerter – G – ATL

It’s also possible that Huerter comes through again with a big game performance. He’s priced under Clint Capela and Brook Lopez, who have both struggled to meet value in this series. After finishing off the 76ers with two big games, Huerter had been quiet in Games 1 & 2 of this series. He found some life in Game 3, playing 37 minutes while scoring 11 points with three blocks, seven assists and four rebounds. I’d expect his shot volume to go up tonight and the points will follow.

OTHER NOTES

John Collins – F – ATL needs to step up if the Hawks are to take this home game tonight. He’s averaged 12 points and eight rebounds the last two games, which just isn’t enough. With the defensive attention focused on Young, he should be doing what he did in Game 1 (23 points and 15 rebounds). His floor is a lot lower than Holiday or Middleton, but for the price, he could still pay off nicely in a big GPP.

Trae Young – G – ATL is going to have a very hard time sitting this game out. I frankly don’t see that happening. However, just being out there might not be enough, which is why I have Young as a tournament-only play. He’s been stymied by the swarming Bucks’ defense and his own sore foot, and still managing to put up massive scoring numbers. I don’t expect his rostership to be that low, but it should be lower than it has been and that means there’s opportunity.
