TOP PICKS
Josh Allen - QB - Buffalo (DK: $12,400 / FD: $16,500 / Yahoo: $41)
You really can’t go wrong with either QB in this slate, but the question comes down to which one to prioritize as your Captain, MVP, or Superstar. It’s a true coinflip situation, but I’m leaning towards Josh Allen due to an easier overall matchup and more rushing upside. The Chiefs have allowed the second-most fantasy points to QBs this season, and Allen should pull out all the stops in this highly-anticipated contest. Roster him at the top of your lineup with confidence through all formats.
Patrick Mahomes - QB - Kansas City (DK: $12,000 / FD: $17,000 / Yahoo: $37)
It’s possible to stack both Allen and Mahomes in the same lineup and still have enough cap space to make things work. I highly recommend that strategy, especially in cash games. As mentioned in the previous write-up, Kansas City’s defense has been generous this season. That has prompted Mahomes to pile up the stats, and he’s averaging nearly 29 FPPG because of it. The matchup against Buffalo doesn’t look great on paper, but Mahomes is essentially matchup-proof. Expect another impressive fantasy showing from the former MVP.

BEST BARGAINS
Gabriel Davis - WR - Buffalo (DK: $1,000 / FD: $6,000 / Yahoo: $10)
Davis is a viable option on Sunday, especially for only $1,000 on DraftKings. Hailed as a popular fantasy sleeper in the preseason, Davis hasn’t done much to start the 2021 campaign. Some of that has to do with the emergence of Dawson Knox and Emmanuel Sanders for Buffalo. Also, the Bills haven’t had to pass the ball much in three straight convincing wins. That should change tonight. Davis could benefit from more pass attempts and overall targets. I believe he’s worth a shot for only $1k on DK.
Harrison Butker - K - Kansas City (DK: $4,000 / FD: $8,500 / Yahoo: N/A)
Butker has only kicked one field goal in three games. I believe he’ll see more opportunities in this primetime matchup. After all, the Bills have a quality red-zone defense that is capable of stopping Mahomes and company on that side of the field. Butker is cheap with expectations of a double-digit fantasy score.
TOURNAMENT LOOKS
Darrell Williams - RB - Kansas City (DK: $3,600 / FD: $7,000 / Yahoo: $11)
Williams serves as the RB2 for Kansas City, and he has seen more work in the last two weeks. That has translated to a total of 17 carries for 60 yards (1 TD) along with five targets and four receptions over that span. Not too bad for a cheap backup. Williams probably needs to find the end-zone in order to exceed fantasy value, but the fact that he saw a goal-line carry last week is promising.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Deciding between Tyreek Hill (WR - KC) and Travis Kelce (TE - KC) is another coinflip situation. You probably won’t be able to roster both, especially when looking at both QBs. I’m leaning towards Kelce when deciding between the two. He went for 13-118-2 and 5-65-2 in two games against the Bills last season.
Stefon Diggs (WR - BUF) is a fantastic pairing with Allen on this slate. We haven’t seen much from the All-Pro receiver this year, as the Bills haven’t needed to lean on the passing game. That’s about to change on Sunday night against the Chiefs. Expect Allen to target Diggs regularly, and this should be his best game of the season … Dawson Knox (TE - BUF) has come to life, and now he’s facing a Kansas City team that is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends.
Cole Beasley (WR - BUF) and Emmanuel Sanders (WR - BUF) are two economical options compared to their teammate, Diggs. Both of these guys allow you to get exposure to a Buffalo passing attack primed to explode without breaking the bank.
Outside of Kelce and Hill, things get murky in the Kansas City receiving corps. Mecole Hardman (WR - KC) and Demarcus Robinson (WR - KC) were flaky fantasy assets to begin with, and now they’ll compete for snaps (and targets) with newcomer Josh Gordon (WR - KC).
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB - KC) , Zach Moss (RB - BUF), and Devin Singletary (RB - BUF) are leverage plays against the grain. Moss and Singletary have a welcoming matchup, as Kansas City has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to RBs. However, their split production makes choosing one a difficult task in tournaments.
