Harris is one to 'monitor' after signing to Giants
Najee Harris returns to the field this season after penning a one-year deal with the Giants. Patrick Daughtery and Denny Carter talk about the veteran and that he should be 'monitored' this season.

Zane Gonzalez is also on the roster, meaning there will be a kicking competition this summer. Gonzalez went 19-of-22 on his field goal tries with the Falcons last year. Patterson connected on 27-of-29 with Miami. We don’t expect the winner of this competition to have much fantasy relevance in 2026.
  • MIA Kicker #45
Gonzalez converted 19 of his 22 field goal attempts and was 7-of-9 from 50-plus yards. The veteran kicker has spent the last two seasons with the Falcons and Commanders after injuries sidelined him for the previous two seasons. Gonzalez will likely face competition for the starting kicker job in Miami, but until they add somebody else, he’s the early favorite to replace Jason Sanders.
  • MIA Kicker #7
Riley Patterson has been kicking in Sanders’ stead all year, converting 24-of-26 field goals and 31-of-32 extra points. Although the conversion rates are good, he lacks the requisite kick volume for K1 treatment. We do not know which player will be active on game day, but Sanders remained limited in practice all week.
  • MIA Kicker #7
If you’re thinking “haven’t thought of him for a minute,” well, Sanders has missed the entire season to this point with the hip ailment. Dolphins ST coordinator Craig Aukerman was asked Thursday about whether Sanders or Riley Patterson would kick this weekend and said he didn’t want to speculate. Dolphins long-time beat Barry Jackson noted that Aukerman was asked if he views it as “A). Sanders is Dolphins kicker moving forward period or B). This is a decision above my pay grade that must be made by whoever is in charge in next 8 months,” and Aukerman politely declined to answer. So, yeah. We don’t know who will kick for the Dolphins yet against the Bengals. Someone, probably.
  • ATL Kicker #45
Gonzalez also connected on all of of his extra-point attempts. His 43-yarder with no time remaining just snuck inside of the post to give Atlanta the win. On the year, Gonzalez has made 11 of his 13 attempts, and he’s perfect on all 11 PATs. He’ll square off against the Cardinals in Week 16.
  • MIA Kicker #47
Patterson also made all four of his extra point attempts as the Dolphins trounced the Jets. He saw a lot of scoring opportunities and gave fantasy managers a productive day with two field goal kicks of 43 and 53 yards. Patterson will have fewer scoring opportunities against the Steelers in Week 15, but is productive enough for fantasy managers to keep him in lineups.
  • ATL Kicker #45
Gonzalez hit a 56-yard field goal to open scoring and the Falcons never looked back. He nets a good fantasy scoring day, with three total field goals and an extra point. The Falcons were not in the red zone frequently against a solid Saints defense, leading to the longer field goals from Gonzalez. He will have similar opportunities against a decent Jets defense in Week 13.
  • Gonzalez is set to be the Falcons’ third kicker of the 2025 season after the team parted ways with John Parker Romo following his Week 9 meltdown against the Patriots. Parker Romo had replaced Younghoe Koo as the team’s starter. Gonzalez last season with Washington made five of his seven field goal attempts and all 19 of his extra point tries. Over six NFL seasons, Gonzalez has converted 80 percent of his field goal attempts. He won’t have much fantasy appeal in Week 10 against the Colts.
  • MIA Kicker #47
After elevating Patterson from the practice squad the previous three weeks, the Dolphins had no choice but to sign him if they hoped to elevate him again for Week 4 against the Jets. The veteran kicker is 2-for-2 on field goal attempts this season and has made all six of his extra point attempts. He seems like a safe bet to remain the Dolphins’ kicker as long as Jason Sanders (hip) remains sidelined. It’s worth noting that Sanders will be eligible to come off injured reserve after this week, so Patterson’s stay on the 53-man roster could be short-lived.
  • MIA Running Back #34
Wilson gets the game day elevation in the wake of Jaylen Wright’s injury while the Dolphins entered Week 1 preparations without a kicker on the active roster. De’Von Achane remains the unquestioned top back while rookie Ollie Gordon appears set to step into the primary change of pace role, leaving Wilson as a likely emergency back. The team also did not elevate a tight end, meaning they will take on the Colts with only Julian Hill and Tanner Conner with Darren Waller set to miss.

Rams coach Sean McVay said he hopes to have some answers about Aaron Donald’s plans “sooner than later.”

The Rams have now hosted Donald for two workouts in recent weeks. McVay believes there will be more. Donald is reportedly “feeling good” right now, but there doesn’t seem to be a lean one way or the other. With the regular season opener fast approaching, one assumes a decision will come in the next two or so weeks.

Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said QB Carson Beck (rib) is unlikely to play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Cowboys.

Beck is scheduled to resume throwing after practice today, though, so the Cardinals’ rookie is indeed on the mend. Beck looked good in his prior preseason action. Hopefully, he has a chance to return in time for his team’s final preseason game against the Packers next week.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that 49ers QB Brock Purdy said he is “prepared to use his mobility more this year if needed.”

The 49ers’ quarterback is not a straight-line burner, but he is more agile than he is given credit for. Purdy adds that he won’t constantly be looking for opportunities to run, however, he believes he can help the offense by scrambling for 10-12 yards from time to time. Purdy has racked up 113 carries over the past two NFL seasons, including the playoffs, proving himself an efficient scrambler with a 47.8 percent conversion rate that ranks first among quarterbacks with at least 50 attempts. He’s a borderline QB1/2. Scrambling more often could get him into the weekly low-end QB1 tier.

Broncos signed S Taylor Rapp, formerly of the Bills.

Rapp spent the last three in Buffalo. He totaled 19 tackles and one quarterback pressure in six games last year. The Broncos correspondingly waived LB Levelle Bailey with an injury designation.

Cardinals activated CB Garrett Williams (Achilles) from the physically unable to perform list.

Williams spent Weeks 3-8 on injured reserve with a knee injury last year. He later ruptured an Achilles tendon in Week 16. He totaled three pass breakups, one interception, 37 tackles and three quarterback pressures while active.

Browns coach Todd Monken said he is “not worried” about RB Quinshon Judkins’ (undisclosed) “nagging injury.”

Judkins has now missed two practices in a row. Cleveland’s Mary Kay Cabot reported Judkins’ absence yesterday, noting that Monken abruptly ended Tuesday’s practice because the defense was playing with too much physicality. Per Cabot, Judkins was “the object of much of the chippiness” that day. Monken said Judkins’ injury is unrelated, though. The second-year running back suffered a season-ending fibula fracture and ankle dislocation last year. Hopefully, Judkins’ current issue is unrelated. He could return weekly RB2 value this year, though RB Dylan Sampson could keep Judkins stuck in a run-centric role.

Saints RB Kendre Miller (back) resumed practicing on Thursday.

The Saints’ backup running back statuses continue to change. Veteran No. 2 RB Alvin Kamara (knee) is expected to be sidelined for at least one month, and RB Audric Estime is now sidelined with an undisclosed injury. Miller and RB Devin Neal (hamstring) both returned this week, though. Beat reporter Jeff Nowak notes that Miller, Neal and RB Ty Chandler were all allowed to rotate in for first-team reps today, as coach Kellen Moore presumably seeks out a viable primary backup for starting RB Travis Etienne. Per Nowak, Miller “looks sharp despite the time missed.” This is worth tracking for short-term bench stash purposes.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Colts TE Tyler Warren (groin) “is going to be ready for” Week 1 against the Ravens.

Rapoport believes Warren will resume practicing in “a week or so.” He also expects “Warren’s role to grow” in his second NFL season. That makes sense. Warren’s 106 targets trailed only WR Michael Pittman’s 110. Pittman left Indy to join the Steelers this offseason, clearing the way for Warren to be the team’s top target earner. The soft-tissue injury adds some risk to Warren’s profile, but he should still be drafted as a mid-to-high TE1.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that Commanders RB Rachaad White’s hamstring injury is “not considered serious or long-term.”

Now we know why the Commanders’ receiving back has been absent at practice recently. White reportedly tweaked a hamstring during joint practices with the Dolphins last week. He worked out prior to Friday’s preseason game, but did not play. Garafolo adds that White has “excelled” in new OC David Blough’s offense during OTAs and training camp, though starting RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt has notably been praised for his pass-catching improvements recently.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that Ravens C Danny Pinter suffered a torn patellar tendon on Wednesday.

This is terribly unfortunate. We expect him to be placed on injured reserve soon, and we do not expect him to return until 2027. The Ravens brought in Pinter and C Ethan Pocic, who is coming off a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture, to compete for the starting center role after losing C Tyler Linderbaum in free agency to the Raiders. Pocic, 31, has been a reliable NFL starter since earning a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2017. He earned a 62.3 PFF pass-blocking grade and a 63.2 PFF run-blocking grade before injuring his Achilles in Week 14 last year.
