ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (ankle) is considered day-to-day and will not practice on Wednesday.

Jefferson seemingly has a chance to face the Dolphins in Week 4, but his participation level at Thursday and Friday’s practices should give us a better sense of his availability. If active against the Dolphins, Jefferson would be startable as a WR1 despite the injury. He caught 2-of-2 targets for 32 yards on seven snaps last week before exiting.

C.J. Stroud completed 17-of-28 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns in Houston’s 27-21, Week 7 loss to the Giants.

The Texans seemed to always be playing from well behind the sticks today with 10 penalties and Stroud was let down by a ghastly drop from Marvin Harrison Jr. with someone in his face in the fourth quarter. The Giants did a better job than other teams had at getting interior pressure on Stroud. Still, it wasn’t a bad game outside of an immediate overtime three-and-out, one that was punctuated by a dropped pick by Kayvon Thibodeaux. Stroud heads into the bye as a reasonable high-end QB2 with a Week 9 matchup against the Chargers.

George Kittle caught 8-of-10 passes for 88 yards in the 49ers’ Week 7 loss to the Falcons.

Unfortunately, Kittle also lost a fumble on the team’s final drive of the game as he was trying to earn extra yardage and set the team up for a better shot at the end zone. Even with that mistake, Kittle was tremendous on the day and the clear top option in the passing attack. The 49ers will be on a bye in Week 8, and then some of their injured receiving corps should return in Week 9, which might impact Kittle’s usage a bit. He will remain a rock-solid TE1 in fantasy leagues though.

Cam Ward completed 20-of-31 attempts for 181 yards and an interception in the Titans’ Week 7 loss to the Browns.

Ward did his best game manager impression in this one and made a handful of solid high-leverage throws using various arm angles. He had a positive EPA per drop back and was slightly over his expected completion rate, small victories being what they are. The Titans deployed no-huddle for much of the game and operated at a quick pace — a strategy that seemed to get Ward into some sort of rhythm early on. Ward’s accuracy issues showed up on the fourth quarter when he sailed a pass over the head of a wide open tight end who had beaten the entire Cleveland secondary. It would’ve likely been a game-winning touchdown. Ward has now cracked 200 passing yards just once through Week 7 and should only be rostered in superflex formats.

Jordan Addison caught 2-of-3 targets for 20 yards in the Vikings’ Week 7 win over the Colts.

Addison also got a carry for three rushing yards. His usage involved designed touches in the shallow area, with the Vikings trying to get him out into space. His utilization dropped in the second half and he did not see many looks downfield. Addison is the clear No. 3 pass-catching option in the Vikings offense, a role that warrants WR4 consideration for Week 8 against the Lions.

Kaelon Black rushed 12 times for 63 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers’ Week 7 loss to the Falcons

Black’s day did not start great as he was stuffed on three straight plays inside the three-yard line on the first drive. Then he watched as Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown on fourth down. However, McCaffrey also picked up a thigh injury on that drive and missed the remainder of the first half, which allowed Black the opportunity to rip off some nice chunk runs and a long touchdown. McCaffrey did return in the second half, and Black also lost a fumble in the second quarter, so there were some moments of inconsistency. That being said, Black looks like one of the best handcuff running backs in fantasy football.

Isaiah Likely caught 2-of-4 targets for 12 yards in New York’s Week 7 win over the Texans.

It was his first game with fewer than five targets all season. New York’s passing game simply targeted Houston outside the numbers and they ran the ball effectively enough that they didn’t need to feed Likely. He’ll be on the TE1 line in Week 9 against the Eagles once the Giants return from their bye week.

Justin Jefferson caught 4-of-7 targets for 44 yards in the Vikings’ Week 7 win over the Colts.

Jefferson led the Vikings in targets and yards on a low-volume day for the passing game. He hit a career milestone, crossing 600 career catches with a four-catch day. The Vikings’ offense continues to post low-efficiency outings as the defense lifts the team to an undefeated record. Jefferson is still the No. 1 wide receiver but banks on high volume usage and touchdowns to be a fantasy WR1. A lack of touchdown opportunities and red zone usage will be an issue in the Vikings offense, but Jefferson has a soft matchup against the Lions for Week 8. He should be back in the WR1 rankings next week.

Jerry Jeudy caught all four of his targets for 21 yards in the Browns’ Week 7 win against the Titans.

Jeudy was second on the team in pass routes — behind Denzel Boston — and fourth on the team in targets. This comes after Jeudy’s Week 6 performance against the Ravens in which he went for a season-high 69 yards on four receptions. Jeudy is well behind Boston and KC Concepcion in the pass-catching pecking order and should only be rostered in the deepest leagues for now.

Christian McCaffrey rushed seven times for 39 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers’ Week 7 loss to the Falcons, adding 61 receiving yards on six catches.

McCaffrey scored a touchdown on the first drive of the game and had six touches, which seemed to set the tone for a massive workload. However, he also picked up a thigh injury on that drive and didn’t return again until the third quarter. The 49ers seemed to give him a few extra breaks in the second half, but McCaffrey didn’t look any less explosive. He was also half a yard away from catching a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, but he was ruled down short of the end zone, and then Brock Purdy threw a touchdown pass to Kyle Juszczyk on the next play. The 49ers have a bye next week, so we doubt McCaffrey’s thigh injury will be an issue when we see them next in Week 9.

Chuba Hubbard rushed seven times for 33 yards in the Panthers’ 43-13, Week 7 loss to the Bucs, adding four receptions for 27 yards.

With Bryce Young committing three turnovers — killing drives and setting up Bucs short fields that took the Panthers out of run-friendly game script — Hubbard had little shot at providing fantasy-friendly returns this afternoon unless he found the end zone late. He did not, with those honors going to “Anthony Tyus III” in garbage time. It was just one of those days in Charlotte. Thankfully the Panthers don’t have long to stew, as they must now get ready for a short-week Thursday evening road date with the Packers. With most Pack — and Panthers — games projecting as shootouts these days, Hubbard will remain safely ensconced in the high-end RB2 ranks.
