Cade Otton caught 4-of-6 targets for 37 yards in the Bucs’ Week 4 loss to the Packers.

Otton’s 37 yards were somehow enough to lead Tampa Bay, though that largely speaks to the ineffective nature of the team’s passing attack. With Jalon Daniels under center, there simply wasn’t much production to go around. He was intercepted twice and threw for just 148 yards. With Daniels likely to make his second start of the year on Week 5, Otton is a low-end TE2 for his upcoming matchup with Dallas.

As usual, Otton led the Bucs in pass routes and was second on the team in targets behind Emeka Egbuka. Most of Otton’s production came on a 37-yard catch in the first half. Baker Mayfield narrowly missed the tight end for another long gain later in the contest. Otton’s route involvement should keep him in deep league lineups next week against the Packers, unless Mayfield (hand) is sidelined.

Otton led the Bucs in targets while running nearly every route. This has been Otton’s role for quite some time. You know what you’re getting if you use Otton in fantasy lineups: He’s something of a PPR cheat code when the Bucs hit a negative game script. He’ll be a deep league option in Week 3 against the Vikings.
  • TB Tight End #88
This is about a standard Otton statline, though this one came on a day where Baker Mayfield attempted fewer than 30 passes. With Jalen McMillan sidelined, Otton probably would have exceeded five catches had the Bucs not kept killing drives with sacks and turnovers, alas. Otton is always good for a few PPR points on the back end of the TE2 ranks, but that appears to be his ceiling heading in to his age-27 campaign.
  • TB Quarterback #6
This is the kind of thing we like to hear for QB Baker Mayfield and his pass catchers. Robinson did not feature play action during his two seasons as the Falcons’ offensive coordinator, nor did former Buccaneers OC Josh Grizzard, so Otton’s comments are reassuring. Per PFF, NFL offenses averaged 7.76 yards per pass play with play action and just 6.72 without it. Upping the play action rate should help the Buccaneers run a more efficient offense in 2026.

Delp last week made pre-draft visits with the Vikings, Patriots, and Ravens. Delp at Georgia was a little-used tight end who totaled 65 receptions for 793 yards and seven touchdowns over his final three collegiate seasons. He was targeted on a meager 13 percent of his pass routes over those three years. Delp, 23, profiles as a rotational tight end to start his NFL career, though he has some upside if he lands in the right spot. In LA he would compete with Oronde Gadsden II for tight end snaps and routes, and in Tampa he would compete with Cade Otton, who recently re-signed with the Bucs.
  • TB Tight End #88
Otton, 26, will remain with the Bucs for the foreseeable future on a new deal that guarantees him $20 million. The former fourth-round pick has gone for 500-plus yards in each of his last two seasons, and caught 59 passes for 572 passes and one touchdown last season. A versatile tight end who can play in line, out wide, and in the slot, Otton has finished second in receptions each of the last two seasons for the Buccaneers. He’ll be a decent plug-and-play tight end for the upcoming fantasy season but is unlikely to have consistent TE1 value.
  • TB Tight End #88
Calling Otton the top target for Tampa Bay in the passing game is quite the understatement; as no other receiver had 40 yards. The 26-year-old tight end not only had a touchdown, but picked up what was essentially a game-clinching first down late in the game on a connection with Baker Mayfield. Amazingly it was the first touchdown of the season for Otton, but outside of those lack of scores it was a solid season for the fourth-year player. Otton will head to free agency after the season. He could get a chance to find the end zone again in the playoffs, but they’ll need the Saints to upset the Falcons.
  • TB Tight End #88
Otton has a fixed role as the TE1 in the Bucs’ offense. This meant the sixth-most targets on the team against the Dolphins, mostly in the short area and over the middle of the field. With Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan also taking many of Baker Mayfield’s targets between the sticks, Otton barely has TE2 utility heading into Week 18.
  • TB Tight End #88
Otton missed Week 15 with a knee injury and returned to his starting tight end role in Week 16 against the Panthers. With a fully healthy pass-catching group, his role yielded just two targets on 23 routes run. Otton has little upside with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan in the lineup, making him a borderline TE2 for Week 17 against the Dolphins.
  • TB Tight End #88
With Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan all back, Otton is drawing dead on any sort of upside play. He’s probably only a borderline TE2 against the Panthers in Week 16.

Giants WR Braxton Berrios (foot) announced he will need season-ending surgery.

Berrios announced on his Instagram that he will need season-ending surgery for his foot injury that landed him on injured reserve. The 31-year-old is primarily a special teamer, returning four punts and five kicks this season. Injuries have prevented Berrios from appearing in more than 14 games over the last three seasons and he now has his season end early as he requires foot surgery.

Falcons signed RB Jam Miller to their practice squad.

Miller is a 2026 seventh-round pick by the Patriots, though he was waived during final cuts. He joins the Falcons practice squad as fellow RB Cash Jones is released.

Broncos signed WR Cam Ross to their practice squad.

With Pat Bryant (ankle) suffering a multi-week injury in Week 4, the Broncos are adding to their wide receiver depth by signing Ross to the practice squad. The 25-year-old Ross was an undrafted free agent out of Virginia who spent training camp with the Broncos before he was let go in final cuts. Ross now re-joins the practice squad. EDGE Jahfari Harvey was let go from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

Cardinals signed OL Jedrick Wills off Buffalo’s practice squad.

He’ll replace Paris Johnson, who heads to season-ending injured reserve. Wills, the former 10th overall pick in the 2020 draft, will compete with 2026 seventh-rounder Jayden Williams for reps at left tackle in Johnson’s absence.

Buccaneers LB Josiah Trotter (knee) did not practice on Tuesday.

It was a mid-week downgrade after a limited estimated session on Monday. Trotter’s in real danger of missing Thursday night’s game against the Cowboys.

Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin (right groin/hip) did not practice on Tuesday.

It was an addition to the report. Never a great sign, especially on a short week. The Buccaneers aren’t carrying a practice-squad kicker, so expect some workouts as they try to find someone you won’t be starting in fantasy football with Jalon Daniels under center.

Cardinals placed TE Hunter Long (knee) on injured reserve.

He’ll miss at least the next four weeks. Long had played 91 snaps in his first four weeks with the Cardinals and will cede blocking duties to promoted practice-squadder Teagan Quitoriano for those of you in points-per-blocked-players leagues.

OT Lane Johnson retired from the NFL after 14 seasons.

We’d heard word through former Eagles EDGE Brandon Graham on a post-game show that this was on the table following Week 4, but it’s still a stunner to see it come to fruition. Johnson cites that his “personal and family priorities” have changed in his post about retiring. The stalwart Eagles right tackle made two first-team All-Pro appearances and three second teams, along with six Pro Bowls. Markel Bell started in his stead in Week 4 and should be expected to get the playing time at right tackle going forward.

Browns designated QB Dillon Gabriel (back/IR) for return.

His 21-day practice window will open up. There’s obviously no rush to promote him to the active roster with the Browns already dressing three quarterbacks every week, so this is probably just starting a ticking clock on a trade or cut from the quarterback room.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said he hopes to activate EDGE Mykel Williams (knee) for San Francisco’s Week 5 game against the Seahawks.

Williams wasn’t eligible to return in Week 4 because of reserve/PUP list rules. It appears that he’ll have a real chance to go against Seattle in what figures to be a drag-out battle between two of the NFC West’s best.
