Rashid Shaheed caught 1-of-3 targets for 20 yards and rushed twice for 33 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks’ Week 4 win over the Chargers.

It wasn’t a ton of volume, but it was easily Shaheed’s biggest offensive day of the year. He took a pitch for a touchdown for his first score of 2026. He was once again not involved in the passing game, however, and he didn’t do much as a returner again, as well. Shaheed will be back in action — and should not be in lineups — against the 49ers in Week 5.

Highlights: Panthers outduel Lions on SNF
Bryce Young had it going against the Lions, throwing for 329 yards and two touchdowns as Jared Goff also threw for 412 yards in an offensive frenzy on Sunday Night Football.

Once again, Shaheed didn’t make an impact, with his biggest play being a drop that resulted in a first down because of a questionable personal foul after the play. The 28-year-old also hasn’t made an impact on special teams, and while his big-play ability is almost assuredly still there, fantasy managers can’t count on it right now. A chance to get going comes in Week 4 versus the Chargers at home.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
The Seahawks tried to get Shaheed involved early on, but he largely made his presence felt on special teams, returning two kicks for 47 yards and three punts for 29 yards. Shaheed was unable to haul in his first target on the Seahawks’ second drive. He got open on a post route from the slot on the ensuing drive, and QB Drew Lock hit him for a 23-yard gain. He caught a four-yard pass in the flats immediately after that. Later, on the sixth drive, Lock fired a pass at Shaheed 34 yards downfield, but the coverage defender grazed the ball, altering the trajectory and leading to an incompletion that went off Shaheed’s fingertips. Shaheed also fumbled the second half’s opening kick return, but Seattle recovered it and advanced the ball 30 yards downfield. Shaheed remains a big-play-dependent FLEX against the Commanders next week.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Shaheed caught multiple passes in 4-of-12 games as a Seahawk last year. He stayed the course in Week 1 with another single-catch outing. Shaheed simply can’t earn targets in an offense that revolves around getting Jaxon Smith-Njigba the ball at all levels. His versatility and elite skills on both punt and kick returns are valuable for the Seahawks in real life, but they don’t put fantasy points on the table. He is not on the FLEX menu headed into Week 2.

Destin echoes what ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler forecasted late in June. It’s nice to know that training camp performances have not altered expectations. Whether Shaheed can be more than a big-play-based FLEX option remains to be seen, but his ADP is hardly prohibitive. Stashing him on benches in Weeks 1-2 while monitoring his usage is a fairly low-risk move, though he is not a priority add.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #15
Frankly, it is tough to trust this statement. The Seahawks kept things quiet almost all offseason about Horton’s season-ending shin injury. They do not have to disclose anything until Week 1 practices begin. Were he to miss time in the regular season, WR Rashid Shaheed might be able to earn an extra target or two, operating as the team’s uncontested field stretcher.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #15
The Seahawks shut Horton down after trading for WR Rashid Shaheed last year, citing a new shin injury. The trade came as a surprise. He and Shaheed possess similar skill sets, and Horton had already set two franchise records, so replacing him in the lineup due to poor play did not add up. Apparently, Horton played through discomfort in his shin for five games until the pain led to imaging, revealing a crack in his shin. Horton attempted to avoid surgery, but it was ultimately deemed necessary in February 2026, delaying his return. Bell adds that the coaching staff is “excited and curious to unleash” Horton and Shaheed in the same formations, “challenging the deep coverage of defenses.” Stressing the defense vertically should open up the short-to-intermediate areas of the field as well. Shaheed will likely be the more reliable boom-bust FLEX and could even ascend to WR3 status, but it is nice to know that the coaching staff still views Horton positively after the surprising in-season trade last year.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Shaheed reportedly had “major” performances throughout spring practices, hitting it off with QB Sam Darnold. Per Fowler, the Seahawks will continue to use WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba on PPR-friendly short and intermediate routes that helped him finish as the overall WR2 in total PPR scoring. But, rather than keeping Shaheed stuck in a field-stretching role, they plan to direct more short-to-intermediate stuff to Shaheed as well. Shaheed still has to go out and score more points this season, but this is the exact type of role change he needs to elevate above a frustratingly volatile fantasy profile.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Good. Many of us expected Shaheed to hit the ground running after the Seahawks traded for him last season, reuniting him with former OC Klint Kubiak. He posted an 18/266/0 receiving line from Weeks 10 through Super Bowl LX, yet the Seahawks re-signed him to a three-year, $51 million contract this offseason. The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar said he believes Shaheed’s deal “suggests a demotion” for WR Cooper Kupp. Shaheed possesses big-play ability. Putting him in the WR2 role is logical. It will be interesting to see how the team splits up reps between the two of them in training camp.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #10
Kupp’s 2026 cap hit is $17.4 million, fourth-highest on the team behind Sam Darnold, Leonard Williams and Uchenna Nwosu. The Seahawks can’t clear much of it via a release, but they could trade him and save roughly $9.4 million if they found a taker. That sounds like a lot to ask. With a full season to implement Shaheed into the offense, we may just see Kupp become WR5 background noise for fantasy purposes.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the deal includes $34.7 million guaranteed. It’s vaguely surprising after the Seahawks struggled to unlock Shaheed on offense following his mid-season trade acquisition, but he remained a lethal weapon on special teams and there is frankly almost no way he struggles as much as a pass catcher again. Shaheed’s field-stretching perfectly complements Jaxon Smith-Njigiba’s all-around game, and JSN’s dominance means there will be ways to free up Shaheed 1-on-1. We suppose he is on the outside looking in of WR3 status for the time being, but Shaheed’s second year in Seattle could go much better than the first in fantasy.

Sam LaPorta caught 8-of-13 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

LaPorta was the primary beneficiary against the single-high-heavy Panthers, which was interesting considering both of Carolina’s top two corners were absent from this game. The 13 targets were easily a season high for the veteran tight end, primarily the result of 52 Jared Goff pass attempts in what would become a negative game script. LaPorta routinely found space behind the linebackers as the primary outlet through pressure for Goff, and while it remains unlikely he repeats the lofty target totals, LaPorta’s red zone acumen keeps him a fantasy TE1 ahead of a very different matchup in the two-high-heavy Cardinals in Week 5.

Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 8-of-11 targets for 75 yards in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

It was quite the disappointing outing for the fantasy darling considering the Panthers were without their top two corners, with opposing defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero dialing up consistent pressure that caused quarterback Jared Goff fits throughout the evening. Two of Goff’s incompletions that were directed at St. Brown were batted down at the line of scrimmage, ultimately enough to keep St. Brown out of the end zone for the first time this season. St. Brown remains a top-tier WR1 ahead of a potential shootout against the Cardinals in Week 5.

Jameson Williams caught 6-of-8 targets for 102 yards in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

Fantasy managers had suffered through three down games with the middle-round pick before Williams was able to take advantage of a Carolina secondary missing its top two corners. He was kept out of the end zone for the fourth consecutive contest to start the 2026 season but returned his first fantasy-viable outing on the backs of 52 Jared Goff pass attempts. While that level of volume is unlikely to be the norm for the Lions, a Week 5 meeting with the Cardinals provides another opportunity for Williams to return value in a potential shootout. Williams will be an upside WR3.

Jahmyr Gibbs rushed 15 times for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers, adding 31 yards on four receptions.

Gibbs had eclipsed 100 combined yards against all three opponents to start the season before the Panthers held him largely in check, with fantasy’s top asset cashing in on a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter to avoid a disastrous outing. The two teams were knotted at 16 entering the half but it was the Panthers that dictated terms following the break, winning the time of possession battle by over six minutes. Gibbs maintained an elite workload by seeing all but two backfield opportunities and every available carry on the evening, keeping his fantasy value sky-high ahead of a potential shootout against the Cardinals in Week 5.

Jared Goff completed 32-of-52 passes for 412 yards and one touchdown in the Lions’ 32-26, Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

Goff has now thrown a touchdown pass in 27 straight contests, a streak that started in the team’s Thanksgiving day contest against the Bears in 2024. He could move into sixth on the all-time list for consecutive games with a touchdown pass should he throw for at least one touchdown in each game this season. He came within four minutes of breaking that streak against the Panthers, needing a late touchdown to tight end Sam LaPorta to keep it alive in a game the Panthers dictated with their defense throughout. Goff also maintained his clean sheet of no interceptions thrown to start the season but it wasn’t enough to overcome a defense that ceded 445 yards of total offense to a Panthers team without two of their top three wide receivers in Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette. The Lions fall to 2-2, now two games behind the division-leading Vikings through the first month of play. Goff remains a surefire QB1 ahead of a potential shootout against the Cardinals in Week 5.

Will Reichard converted 5-of-5 field goals in the Vikings’ Week 4 win over the Dolphins.

Reichard made two field goals in the 40-49-yard range, and another from 50 yards. The Vikings were unable to score a touchdown today, though the offense began to figure things out late in the game. Reichard is a K1 candidate against the Saints next week.

Jeremiyah Love said he told Cardinals coaches that Tyler Allgeier and Bam Knight were in better shape to play than he was in Week 4 against the Giants.

Love engaged in a long, candid conversation with Cardinals beat reporters after the game today, saying his snaps are being managed because he currently is “not able to go out there and do spectacular plays every single time.” Love said this is probably going to be the “longest year” of his life, and his preseason ankle injury is not the only thing he is dealing with. Love said his body is sometimes just “tired,” and that he would “probably just hinder the team” if he took on more work in his current state. He rhetorically asked, “why not put somebody else out there that’s playing better?” For those wondering, the Cardinals don’t go on bye until Week 14. They face the fantasy-friendly Lions defense in Week 5, which could help Love get his confidence back with an efficient performance.

The Athletic’s Mike Silver reports that Rashee Rice (hamstring) could be out for several weeks.

This potential return timeline is a bit surprising. After the game, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Rice “tweaked” his hamstring. Earlier this evening, Silver broke the news that the Chiefs have already reached out to Tyreek Hill’s agent about a reunion, though, so maybe Silver has the inside scoop here as well. Stay tuned.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Tyquan Thornton is out indefinitely after suffering a dislocated ankle in Week 4 against the Raiders.

The good news is that Thornton’s ankle was successfully put back into place by team doctors, and he was able to take the plane home with his teammates. He will have a full evaluation on Monday morning and is expected to seek a second opinion. Rapoport adds that Thornton is in good spirits. Rashee Rice also notably injured his hamstring today. Per The Athletic’s Mike Silver, the Chiefs have already contacted Tyreek Hill’s (knee) agent to discuss a reunion. The Chiefs are looking for help in their wide receiver room.

Jaylen Wright rushed five times for seven yards in the Dolphins’ Week 4 loss to the Vikings.

The best thing we can say about Wright’s day is that he got the start. The Dolphins kept him out there for the first drive, giving him a chance to keep his position, but he was unable to do so. Ollie Gordon outplayed him as the game progressed, rushing nine times for 100 yards and one touchdown, while Wright was relegated to unproductive offensive snaps and five kick returns for 97 yards. Wright is a zero-floor FLEX against the Bengals next week.
