Raiders ruled out Jalen Nailor (concussion) for Week 5 against the Patriots.

The Raiders entered the season with a thin wide receiver corps, and the unit just got thinner. Tre Tucker will continue functioning as the team’s top wide receiver and second pass catcher, backed up by Cody White (ankle) and rookie Malik Benson. Nailor does not need to be rostered in 12-team formats.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Caleb Williams is “pushing to play” in Week 6 against the Falcons.

Williams is technically listed as questionable for Week 5 versus the Packers, but Tyson Bagent is fully expected to make the start. Still, Williams’ return to practice on Friday was a pleasant surprise for Bears fans. If all goes well in practice next week, he could return after missing just three games, which was on the short end of his projected timeline.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Cam Skattebo’s shoulder injury is “not a concern.”

Skattebo was cleared from the injury report on Friday, so he was never going to miss this game. The good news is that the Giants don’t have any plans to limit his workload. Playing in a rain-soaked matchup with the NFC East rival Commanders, Skattebo is expected to see “an extremely heavy workload”, according to Garafolo.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Rico Dowdle (foot) is unlikely to play in Week 5 against the Colts.

Dowdle got in three limited practices this week before being listed as questionable. The team doesn’t want to rush him back, only for him to aggravate the foot issue, so he’ll miss today’s game before likely returning in Week 6. Jaylen Warren will get one more week of workhorse duties, putting him in the RB1 mix once more.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Zay Flowers (foot) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Falcons.

Flowers was limited in practice throughout the week but never appeared at risk of missing Sunday night’s game. The bigger issue for him will be the absence of Lamar Jackson. Flowers has been the most efficient receiver in the league on a per-route basis this year. That will come back to Earth sans Jackson, but he remains on the WR1/2 border, even with Tyler Huntley under center.

Eagles declared EDGE Jonathan Greenard, WR Hollywood Brown, WR DeVonta Smith, RB Saquon Barkley, S Marcus Epps, and C Crew Kendall inactive for Week 5 against the Jaguars.

Greenard was the only Eagle with a questionable tag headed into the weekend. The rest of their important players had already been ruled out. Greenard didn’t practice at all this week because of an ankle injury and could miss more time.

Jaguars declared S Eric Murray, WR CJ Williams, CB Alijah Huzzie, CB Jaylon Jones, OL Daniel Faalele, DE Wesley Williams, and DT Albert Regis inactive for Week 5 against the Eagles.

Murray was listed as doubtful on Friday because of a concussion. He returned to practice but couldn’t clear concussion protocol in time. Murray has started all four games this year, though we don’t think his absence will spark a revival of the Eagles’ passing attack.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Ladd McConkey (foot) is not expected to play in Week 5 against the Broncos.

McConkey did not practice at all this week but was still given a questionable tag on Friday. He was always a long-shot to play after aggravating his foot injury in Week 4. With Quentin Johnston out this week as well, Tre’ Harris will be Justin Herbert’s No. 1 receiver. That puts him in the WR3 mix despite the Chargers’ dismal offensive performance through four weeks.

Packers placed RB Chris Brooks (ankle) on injured reserve.

Brooks had been the most consistent contributor to a Green Bay backfield working to find their way in the absence of Josh Jacobs. The team appears likely to utilize journeyman Pierre Strong as the preferred passing down specialist, likely keeping the backfield in a maddening timeshare without Brooks. None are worthy of legitimate fantasy interest.

Steelers placed WR Michael Pittman (foot) on injured reserve.

Pittman aggravated the foot injury that cost him Week 2 last week and will now miss four games, at minimum, while on injured reserve. Roman Wilson appears to be the primary beneficiary of Pittman’s absence and has seen six targets in each game this season while mostly playing a situational role. Wilson is a priority waiver addition over rookie Germie Bernard.

Bills WR DJ Moore (shoulder) is questionable for Week 5 against the Rams.

Moore failed to practice until Saturday after aggravating a shoulder injury in Week 4, returning to the field in a limited capacity while wearing a red non-contact jersey. That was apparently enough to keep the door open for an appearance on Monday Night Football against the Rams, although he certainly appears to be on the wrong side of the questionable tag. Fantasy managers would be wise to seek alternate options considering the timing of the game.
