Ashton Jeanty (foot) said he is feeling “great” and “ready to go” for Week 6 against the Bills.

The quotes read a tad bit more enthusiastically than Jeanty did while speaking to media members at his locker, but this is still good to hear. Jeanty has been dealing with an ankle injury for a long time, but the team took that injury off the weekly practice report this week. He is now listed only with the foot injury after experiencing “a flare-up of plantar fasciitis” last Friday. Jeanty is a low-end RB1 against the Bills this week.
Speed Round: Pull the panic alarm on which team?
In a speed round, Maria Taylor, Devin McCourtney and Jason Garrett wonder if it's time to panic about the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans and the New York Jets.

Among the least efficient rushers in the game, Jeanty again struggled to get anything going on the ground behind a middling Vegas offensive line. He did almost all of his damage through the air, turning eight targets into 61 yards and a late score in garbage time. He ran a route on 20 of the team’s 35 drop backs against the Rams and ranked second among Raiders pass catchers in targets. Mike Washington had six carries on the day. Jeanty, with at least six targets in six of his seven games this season, can maintain RB2 status as long as he’s catching passes out of the backfield. He gets the Jets in Week 8.
  • Dang. This suggests Washington suffered one or both injuries yesterday in practice. He is firmly in the questionable camp and may have only a long shot at suiting up in Week 7 against the Rams. Without him, Ashton Jeanty should handle a solid workload. Dylan Laube could end up serving as the No. 2 running back.
  • LV Running Back #2
Jeanty, who is dealing with a foot/ankle injury, wasn’t effective on the ground, but that didn’t stop him from scoring his first rushing touchdown of the season. Jeanty punched in a one-yard score in the first quarter of Sunday’s game to give the Raiders an early 7-3 lead, but averaged a disappointing 2.2 YPC overall. He did manage a solid 4-36-0 receiving line on six targets, with two of his four receptions coming on the Raiders’ third drive of the game. Jeanty appeared on 15 more snaps than Mike Washington and out-touched him 14 to 10. While he continues to struggle from an efficiency standpoint, Jeanty’s volume will make him a low-end RB1 next week against the Rams.
  • LV Running Back #2
The Raiders’ starting running back is good to go for what should be a fantasy-friendly game environment. The Raiders encouragingly stopped listing Jeanty with an ankle injury this week. Hopefully, his remaining plantar fasciitis issue subsides before long as well. Jeanty is a low-end RB1 in Week 6.
  • LV Running Back #2
Jeanty’s previous ankle designation was removed from the injury report and he was a full practice participant on Wednesday. His practice participation lines up with Raiders coach Klint Kubiak saying the 22-year-old running back was starting to “feel a lot better.” Though there were rumors of the Raiders resting Jeanty for a week, he is trending to play in Week 6 against the Bills.
  • LV Running Back #2
Kubiak also shot down the idea of the Raiders resting Jeanty for a week, despite it being reported earlier today that the Raiders were considering giving him a week off to recover at some point. Jeanty has been dreadfully inefficient this year, averaging a meager 3.3 yards per carry, though the team’s subpar offensive line also deserves some of the blame. For fantasy purposes, his workload has been the big draw. He is averaging 22 touches per game through five weeks. Even if the foot and ankle injuries continue to bother him, Jeanty has to be treated as a mid-range RB2.
  • LV Running Back #2
Most of Jeanty’s production against New England came on a 31-yard catch and run in the third quarter. Battling through foot and ankle injuries, Jeanty looked hobbled from the start and struggled to break tackles or outrun Patriots defenders to the edge. Most Raiders starters rested in the fourth quarter of a lopsided loss. Jeanty still doesn’t have a rushing touchdown on the season and hasn’t had 100 rushing yards in a game since Week 1 against the Dolphins. Until Jeanty is fully healthy he probably won’t provide much in the way of upside, including next week against a decent Buffalo run defense.
  • LV Running Back #2
Jeanty will play through his foot and ankle injuries against New England. It wouldn’t be surprising if he cedes some backfield work to a healthy and much more explosive Mike Washington, however. Jeanty should be considered a top-24 option this week while Washington is a desperation flex. Raiders declared WR Jalen Nailor, QB Aidan O’Connell, S Tristin McCollum, RB Roman Hemby, S Dalton Johnson, OL Trey Zuhn, and DT JJ Pegues inactive against the Patriots.

Per Rapoport, Jeanty had a flare-up of plantar fasciitis last week to go along with his ankle injury. He added that Jeanty will work out before today’s game to see how he’s feeling. If he can’t go, Mike Washington Jr. would see the bulk of the backfield touches. Washington has been an explosive complement to Jeanty this year, averaging five yards per carry on 24 attempts. He would jump to the top of the RB2 ranks if Jeanty can’t go.
  • LV Running Back #2
Kubiak didn’t get into real specifics about the injury when asked. Mike Washington just found his way into real contingency value and is a worthwhile stash/hedge anywhere he was dropped. Jeanty did not practice Friday after a limited session (and the addition of a foot tag) on Thurdsay, so this certainly doesn’t appear to be heading in the right direction. That said, we knew Jeanty would be managing something after the preseason ankle injury and the Raiders have given out rest days on Friday quite a bit already this year. Jeanty is likely something close to truly questionable.

Sam LaPorta caught 1-of-2 targets for 18 yards in the Lions’ Week 7 win over the Packers.

While Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams combined for 244 yards and two touchdowns, LaPorta was an afterthought in the Lions’ offense on Sunday. LaPorta’s first target didn’t come until late in the fourth quarter, and his first catch came in the fourth quarter on an 18-yard play. It was an uncharacteristically underwhelming game by LaPorta, who entered the day coming off two-straight games in which he topped 80 yards and found the end zone. Despite the dud performance, LaPorta will be in the TE1 ranks next week at home against the Vikings.

Mark Andrews caught 3-of-4 targets for 23 yards in the Ravens’ Week 7 loss to the Bengals.

It was business as usual for Andrews, who can be consistently relied on for a solid 20-yard game. Andrews has gone for 28 or fewer yards in five-straight games and will not be on the fantasy radar in Week 8 against the Bills.

Ja’Kobi Lane caught 3-of-5 targets for 25 yards in the Ravens’ Week 7 loss to the Bengals.

Lane had a relatively forgettable day through the air, but just missed finding the end zone on a short pass from Tyler Huntley in the second quarter. The rookie receiver ran 30 routes, which were second only to Zay Flowers, but he’s caught just seven passes for 65 scoreless yards in his two games since returning from injury. Lane’s involvement in the offense is encouraging, but there’s not enough here to warrant starting him in Week 8 against the Bills.

Samaje Perine rushed four times for 16 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals’ Week 7 win over the Ravens.

Perine saw only four carries in this one, but he turned his lone goal-line touch into a one-yard touchdown to barely salvage what was still a relatively disappointing day. Perine was out-snapped by Chase Brown 38-12, with Brown also leading the way with 11 rush attempts. Perine will be hard to trust as anything more than a desperation RB4 play next week against the Titans.

Mike Gesicki caught his lone target for six yards and a touchdown in the Bengals’ Week 7 win over the Ravens.

Gesicki’s lone target came on an end zone target from Joe Burrow that resulted in a six-yard touchdown. The 31-year-old tight end has now scored in all five games he has appeared in this season, but has managed just 10 yards on two receptions in his last two games. Fellow tight ends Erick All and Drew Sample combined to catch five passes for 45 yards and one touchdown on five targets. Gesicki has run 15 routes in each of his last two games and is purely a touchdown-dependent option in Week 8 against the Titans.

Rashid Shaheed (knee) is questionable to return in Week 7 against the Chiefs.

Shaheed was involved in a collision with teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the end zone on an interception in the waning moments of the first half and did not retake the field out of the break. Tory Horton received the kickoff to begin the second half, after which Shaheed was deemed questionable to return with a knee injury. Expect Cooper Kupp and Horton to see a small bump in opportunity behind Smith-Njigba for the remainder of the game. Shaheed caught 2-of-3 targets for one yard prior to departing.

Colby Parkinson caught 5-of-6 targets for 48 yards in the Rams’ Week 7 win against the Raiders.

Parkinson was in and out of the game with various injuries, picking up a new ailment on seemingly every reception. Parkinson logged 16 pass routes while Tyler Higbee led the team’s tight ends with 18 routes. Davis Allen, meanwhile, ran a route on 12 of the Rams’ drop backs and caught two touchdowns from Matthew Stafford. Parkinson should be a viable desperation option in deeper formats next week against the Chargers if the Rams keep using three tight end sets at a high rate. He has ten receptions over his past two outings.

Puka Nacua caught 8-of-10 targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week 7 win against the Raiders, adding two rushes for ten yards.

Nacua, dealing with a calf injury, didn’t appear to be 100 percent but still got by just fine against a beatable Vegas secondary. He caught one of Matthew Stafford’s three touchdowns and led the Rams offense with ten targets. Nacua has a good chance of leading the NFL in targets for the remainder of the season with Davante Adams (hamstring) out indefinitely. His role in the LA offense makes Nacua one of the most dangerous fantasy options in the game. He gets the Chargers secondary in Week 8.

Jalen Brooks caught 1-of-6 targets for 35 yards in the Cardinals’ Week 7 loss to the Broncos.

Brooks’ only catch of the day saw him dragged down by the ankle at the one-yard line. Jacoby Brissett tried to get him going with a few deep shots, but the two failed to connect on all but one of their tries. In three games without Marvin Harrison Jr. in the lineup, Brooks has five catches for 81 scoreless yards. He is not on the fantasy radar for Week 8 versus Dallas.

Kyren Williams had 16 rushes for 99 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week 7 win against the Raiders, adding two catches for 22 yards.

After complaining about the team’s backfield split last week, Williams was out-carried by Blake Corum, 17 to 16, with Corum scoring a touchdown and having two TDs called back on penalties. Though Williams lost a fumble in the second half, the Rams leaned on him late in the fourth quarter following a short-lived Vegas comeback. He ran 18 pass routes to eight routes for Corum — a season long trend that makes Williams less sensitive to game script than Corum. Williams will be a locked-in top-15 running back option next week against the Chargers.
