Roquan Smith (knee) and Vega Ioane (knee) returned to practice Thursday.

Both players missed practice Wednesday, with their return Thursday a good step in the right direction for their availability in a marquee matchup against the Bills in Week 8. Quarterback Lamar Jackson and safety-linebacker Kyle Hamilton were also present at practice Thursday as the team inches closer to full strength.
Moore returns from injury, should you start him?
Can DJ Moore turn around his season after notching just one reception in the month of October? Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter are cautiously optimistic.

Smith was one of several Ravens defenders to miss today’s session, though we’re expecting some of them to get back on the field later in the week. Smith has one interception, one forced fumble, and two sacks across seven games this year. We’re already expecting a shootout between the Ravens and Bills on Sunday, but Smith missing the contest would certainly increase the odds of fireworks on offense.
  • BAL Guard #71
The Ravens’ mauling rookie guard suffered an MCL sprain in Week 7 against the Bengals. He is likely on the wrong side of questionable for Week 8, but Minter said he has been impressed by Ioane’s resilience and thinks he could recover quickly. In the meantime, OL Emery Jones Jr. and OT Andrew Vorhees will compete for the potential starting role.
  • BAL Guard #71
Ioane went down with a knee injury on Sunday against the Bengals and did not return to the game. Though Rapoport said the injury is not considered long term, Ioane — an impressive rookie — will be sidelined for a while. Baltimore’s offensive line ranks 20th in pass block win rate and 19th in run block win rate, according to ESPN.
  • BAL Guard #71
Ioane exited late in the first quarter of Sunday’s game and was ruled out shortly after halftime. The rookie first-rounder appeared on 16 snaps and has started every game for the Ravens this season, splitting time between right guard and center. He was replaced by Emery Jones.
  • BAL Offensive Lineman #54
Gwyn went down with a serious leg injury in Week 3 against the Cowboys and will require surgery in the coming days, per Fowler. That will leave Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense without their starting center for at least the next couple months. Rookie first-round pick Vega Ioane will likely start at center for the Ravens in Week 4. It’s a blow to a Baltimore offensive line that ranks 29th in ESPN’s pass blocking win rate and third in run blocking win rate.
  • Ioane gets a fully guaranteed $24.2 million deal with a $14.1 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option. Ioane is expected to start in year one. He primarily played left guard at Penn State, but should be able to line up at right guard, if need be. Vega (6'4/320) earned an 87.0 PFF pass-blocking grade and a 78.6 PFF run-blocking grade last year.
  • Ioane (6’4/320) is a powerful interior blocker who delivered one of the cleanest pass-protection seasons among Big Ten linemen in 2025. The 6-4, 328-pound guard allowed zero sacks and just a 0.7 percent pressure rate across 294 pass-blocking snaps, posting a 99.7 percent pass-block efficiency and an outstanding 87.1 PFF pass-blocking grade while committing only one penalty. Ioane also logged 306 run-blocking snaps with a 78.6 PFF run-block grade, finishing the year with only a 1.6 percent blown-block rate on run plays, illustrating his consistent execution in Penn State’s physical rushing attack. Built like a prototypical power-scheme guard, Ioane wins with thick limbs, core strength and excellent contact balance, using strong hands and hip roll to generate displacement on base blocks and double teams. His firm punch and sturdy anchor allow him to absorb power rushers effectively, while his vice-like grip strength helps him stay connected through the rep. With elite pass-protection acumen and the most complete resume of any interior lineman in the class, Ioane projects as a high-floor guard who can step into a starting role on day one.
  • BAL Safety #14
Neither are CB Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring), ILB Roquan Smith (hamstring), or CB Marlon Humphrey (illness) — and outside of Humphrey missing Wednesday’s practice all four of those players got in full sessions all week. Baltimore’s defense finally looks to mostly be recovered from their early October swoon. Will they actually play better in Week 8? That’s the real question.
  • BAL Cornerback #44
The Ravens’ defensive health is improving, though it still lacks a capable pass rush. CB Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring) is practicing in full, as are S Kyle Hamilton (groin) and LB Roquan Smith (hamstring). This unit was one to target for fantasy purposes pre-bye, in Weeks 1-6, and will likely remain fantasy-friendly until it improves its defensive-front personnel. This week’s results against the Bears are worth watching.
  • BAL Linebacker #0
Smith has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury but was able to log a practice in his return from the Ravens bye week. With several days to go until Sunday’s game against the Bears, Smith is clearly trending in the right direction heading into a pivotal matchup with the Ravens’ season on the line.

Tucker Kraft caught 6-of-6 targets for 53 yards with a touchdown in the Packers’ Week 8 win over the Panthers.

Kraft was able to bring in a score between a pair of defenders to give the Pack a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. That’s back-to-back games for the tight end with a score, and three in the first half of 2026. Kraft has seen a similar amount of involvement throughout the campaign, and he’ll likely put up a similar statline — hopefully with a touchdown for fantasy managers who roster him — in Week 9 versus the Patriots.

Christian Watson caught 8-of-10 targets for 113 yards in the Packers’ Week 8 win over the Panthers.

The fact that Watson was able to even play in the second half was incredible, as the 27-year-old was forced to be examined at the hospital following a chest injury. He didn’t do much after putting up 100 yards in the first half, but again, that’s not really the story here. Watson told reporters after the game that he was coughing up blood and suffered a fractured rib before returning. Assuming no setbacks, he’s a WR1 candidate for Week 9 against the Patriots, but keep in mind Christian Gonzalez — on top of this injury — can make things difficult.

Matthew Golden caught 7-of-13 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown in the Packers’ Week 8 win over the Panthers.

Golden is rarely boring, that’s for sure. He dropped two passes, and one of those was a wide-open touchdown in the second quarter. The good news for Golden, Jordan Love and fantasy managers was that he was wide open again on the next play, and he was able to bring that pass in. Golden’s athleticism and ability to get down field is unquestionable, but to say the efficiency isn’t there is an understatement. He’ll be back at it in Week 9 against the Patriots.

Jalen Coker caught 2-of-5 targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ Week 8 loss to the Packers while also losing a fumble.

Coker’s fumble came on the last play of the game as the Panthers played pitchy woo woo in their attempt to tie the game. The 24-year-old didn’t have a catch in the first half, but salvaged his fantasy day — to a point, anyway — with a 26-yard touchdown from Bryce Young. The 24-year-old has just three catches over the last two games, and he’ll try and get things going against the Broncos in Week 9.

Tetairoa McMillan caught 6-of-11 targets for 57 yards in the Panthers’ Week 8 loss to the Packers.

McMillan had a long gain of just 14 yards, as Bryce Young just didn’t have time to get the ball down the field and wasn’t particularly accurate on the rare times he did. The wideout was targeted early and often, but it was an inefficient effort for the 23-year-old, at best. Even as the clear top option in this passing attack — all due respect to Jalen Coker — there’s a ton of volatility in McMillan’s fantasy profile, and that won’t change for Week 9 against the Broncos.

Chuba Hubbard rushed 22 times for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ Week 8 loss to the Packers, adding five receptions for 38 yards.

Hubbard was easily the most effective offensive player for the Panthers, but that’s at least partially an insult to everyone else as much as it was compliment to him. The tailback was able to make the most of the limited rushing room, and with Bryce Young having zero time to throw the football, he was a frequent target of Young’s checkdowns. Trevor Etienne received just one carry for one yard, meanwhile. Hubbard’s usage makes him a high-end RB2 for Week 9 against the Broncos, even if it’s more floor than ceiling.

Josh Jacobs rushed 21 times for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Packers’ Week 8 win over the Panthers, adding six catches for 13 yards and another score.

Jacobs’ fantasy game was salvaged with two scores, but the tailback didn’t look particularly spry in the process. He had a long gain of just six, and there was almost no burst even against the porous Panthers’ run defense. He was involved in the passing game, but again, outside of his two-yard receiving score, there really wasn’t much there. It’s clear this is Jacobs’ backfield despite the scuffles, as MarShawn Lloyd had just three touches in the contest for seven yards. He’s a volatile low-end RB1 candidate for Week 9 against the Patriots.

Bryce Young completed 23-of-41 passes for 209 yards with a touchdown and an interceptions in the Panthers’ 27-19, Week 8 loss to the Packers.

Those who believe that sacks are a quarterback stat might change their mind watching the Panthers block Thursday night. The 25-year-old had no time to throw and couldn’t get out of the pocket while taking six sacks and being pressured on what seemed like every throw. That’s not to say that Young was completely a victim of his circumstance; he struggled with accuracy and couldn’t get the ball downfield in another ugly performance for the 25-year-old sans a 26-yard passing score to Jalen Coker in the middle of the fourth. Things won’t get any easier on paper in Week 9, as Young and the Panthers face the Broncos.

Jordan Love completed 30-of-41 passes for 288 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the Packers’ 27-19, Week 8 win over the Panthers.

Love completed 17 of his first 20 passes, and two of those incompletions were drops. He threw a seed to Tucker Kraft for his first touchdown between defenders, found Matthew Golden wide open in the end zone for his second score — one play after Golden dropped a touchdown — and connected with Josh Jacobs for his third score of the day. The interception was a heinous decision where he didn’t see the safety, but outside of that, it was an impressive evening for the 27-year-old. Love gets zero, well, love from the run game and doesn’t have a quality offensive line, but he’s still putting up respectable numbers. He’ll look to add to those numbers in Week 9 against the Patriots in what should be a fun matchup.

Christian Watson (chest) returned to action in Week 8 against the Panthers in the third quarter.

Watson went to the hospital to have his chest injury examined, but obviously checked out well if the Packers were willing to reinsert him into a game where they were leading by two scores. It’s a sigh of relief for fantasy managers, as Watson has been sensational Thursday night with six catches for 100 yards in just one half thus far.
