Jadarian Price rushed 10 times for 29 yards in the Seahawks’ Week 8 loss to the Bears, adding eight yards on two receptions.

It was Zach Charbonnet that drew the start for the Seahawks in his first game since tearing his ACL last year, but it was the talented rookie that led the team in opportunities. Price was making his first appearance since going on the injured reserve with a chest injury suffered in Week 2, and while he led the team in yardage and carries, George Holani remained involved in clear passing situations and Charbonnet is liable to see his role continue to grow with each healthy game. Price will be a shaky FLEX option in a better matchup against the Cardinals in Week 9.
AZ offense changes with Love out, Minshew starting
Multiple headlines are coming out of Arizona with Gardner Minshew now the starting quarterback and Jeremiyah Love placed on injured reserve.

Price and Zach Charbonnet will both make their returns from injured reserve tonight, putting the Seahawks’ backfield at full strength heading into a pivotal NFC matchup. It’s hard to know how the touches will be spread out in this one, which makes both backs hard to trust on Monday night against the Bears. Price averaged 11.5 carries per game in his two full games played this season, but Charbonnet should eat into that somewhat. Fantasy managers looking to play either Seattle running back in this one should temper expectations until we have more data to go on in the coming weeks.
  • SEA Running Back #8
The team has yet to activate him from injured reserve, a procedural move that is expected to come before they take the field in Week 8 against the Bears on Monday Night Football. Zach Charbonnet is also expected to be activated from injured reserve, giving the team their top two backs for the first time this season. No word yet on an expected snap count for either, although Price would seem to be in line to serve as the top option in the backfield considering it will be Charbonnet’s season debut.
  • SEA Running Back #8
Price was upgraded to full while Zach Charbonnet (knee) was downgraded to limited. That is probably part of a pre-planned process with Charbonnet, but as of Friday evening, we suppose Price is now technically closer to returning than his veteran backfield mate. As it is, both players now seem more likely than not to suit up, which would make for an extremely chaotic fantasy situation with Emanuel Wilson still in the fold. With the Seahawks playing on Monday evening, we will receive official game designations Saturday afternoon.
  • SEA Running Back #8
Price gets in the limited session after coach Mike Macdonald said that it was realistic that the tailback could be back Monday night against the Bears in Week 8. Zach Charbonnet was a full participant Thursday, so the Seattle backfield could finally be at full strength — or close to it, anyway — for the stretch. That’s nice for the Seahawks, but creates a lot of confusion from a fantasy perspective.
  • SEA Running Back #8
With Zach Charbonnet’s status also in some doubt, Seattle’s backfield situation likely won’t be sorted out until Saturday (or MNF inactives), but if Price is back that’s probably the end of Emmanuel Wilson’s short-term RB2 ride. We’ll keep an eye on the situation. Wilson-reliant managers might want to consider alternative arrangements for Week 8.
  • SEA Running Back #8
Price has missed the minimum four games and being immediately designated to return should have him making his debut sooner rather than later. Of course, with Zach Charbonnet also returning to the fold soon, this could be a split backfield rather than the RB2 zone that Price looked to be opening the year in. Price probably will only reach the FLEX ranks when active until we see what the touch counts look like; perhaps he could have a Blake Corum-ish role if all goes well for the Seahawks offense.
  • SEA Running Back #8
Price reportedly aggravated a chest injury during the team’s Wednesday practice and will now miss the next four games, at minimum, as he tends to the injury. The backfield will be left in the hands of Emanuel Wilson and George Holani in Week 4 against the Chargers but should get reinforcements in short order with Zach Charbonnet set to resume practicing. Price’s season continues to trend poorly for fantasy managers that invested a mid-round pick in his services this summer.
  • SEA Running Back #8
Price reportedly aggravated his chest injury on Wednesday. That is unfortunate. With Price out of the picture against the Chargers, and Zach Charbonnet (knee) still rehabbing, burly RB Emanuel Wilson and receiving specialist RB George Holani will split backfield reps. Wilson can be started as a volume-based RB2/FLEX while Holani is FLEX-viable in PPR formats.
  • SEA Running Back #8
It’s possible that this is just a precautionary rest day, but those typically occur on Wednesdays. Price should be viewed as questionable to play in Week 4 against the Chargers. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald favorite, Zach Charbonnet (knee), returned as a limited participant. Backup RB Emanuel Wilson would likely get the start if Price and Charbonnet are both out this week.
  • SEA Running Back #26
Charbonnet will return to practice this week. The team now has 21 days to officially activate him from the injured reserve. It’s unclear how much of that window they will use to get him up to full speed. He has to miss at least one more game while on the PUP list. Charbonnet tore his ACL in Seattle’s first playoff game last year. The team talked about his quick recovery throughout the offseason and that will be the case, even if he uses all three weeks of his practice window. Once he returns, Charbonnet will at least take over the roles of George Holani and Emanuel Wilson, who have been splitting the backfield with Jadarian Price so far. He could even work himself into the starting job if Price continues to struggle with fumbles.

Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said “I was told the Dallas Cowboys aren’t trading George Pickens.”

Rapoport added that “as of right now, there’s nothing there,” as far as a potential trade is concerned. Pickens, who is playing out the season on the franchise tag, hasn’t produced at the level he did in 2025 when he broke out for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns, but he remains a focal point in the offense despite his underwhelming production. Pickens still ranks 14th in the league among all receivers in targets and is 12th in total air yards. Despite the Cowboys’ disappointing 3-5 record, they remain in the race to win what has been an underwhelming NFC East. With team owner Jerry Jones saying earlier that Pickens needs to be targeted more, it’s safe to assume he will remain with the Cowboys for the season.

Cardinals placed Jeremiyah Love (ankle) on injured reserve.

The new injury Love picked up in Week 8’s win over the Cowboys has been diagnosed as a high-ankle sprain and will sideline Love for a minimum of four weeks. Love, who has been dealing with multiple ankle injuries this season, has had a tough start to his NFL career. In six career games he’s rushed for 268 yards and one touchdown on 76 carries, while adding 11 receptions for 36 yards and another score. His injury comes as Bam Knight is in the league’s concussion protocol, leaving Tyler Allgeier and Evan Hull as the only two healthy backs on the Cardinals’ 53-man roster. Allgeier could be in line for a significant role in Week 9 against the Seahawks if Knight is unable to clear protocol, and veteran Jerome Ford could also be promoted from the practice squad in the coming days. Love will not be eligible to return until Week 13 against the Eagles.

Joe Fagnano was seen wearing an ankle guard/brace during Tuesday’s practice.

Head coach Jesse Minter said on Monday that Fagnano was “dealing with some things physically,” but the rookie UDFA is still expected to make his first career start on Thursday against the Jaguars. Fagnano was wearing the guard/brace on his right ankle, but was on the field practicing with the team. The Ravens recently signed Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis to the practice squad, with Reed looking like the most likely backup to Fagnano on Thursday night. Hopefully the Ravens aren’t forced to go to fourth QB in less than a week, but Fagnano clearly isn’t operating at 100 percent.

Bhayshul Tuten (ankle/foot) was not spotted at Tuesday’s practice.

After being an estimated DNP on Monday, Tuten was not spotted at Tuesday’s practice. With the Jaguars playing Thursday, this is a bit concerning for his Week 9 availability, as he will likely need to get in a limited practice on Wednesday if he hopes to suit up. In the event he can’t go, Chris Rodriguez, who ran for 41 yards and a touchdown on six carries last week, would be in line to handle a significant workload against the Ravens.

The Athletic’s Ted Nguyen said Kyler Murray has been “constantly late on his reads,” leading to misfires.

Nguyen studied Murray’s film in the Minnesota offense and noted the veteran is often late to recognize an open pass catcher. That could be related to Murray’s clear discomfort in Kevin O’Connell’s offense, as Nguyen noted. “When his first read doesn’t open up, he holds the ball and runs backward,” leading to drive-killing sacks. That’s exactly what unfolded a few times in high-leverage situations against the Lions in Week 8. Justin Jefferson on Sunday appeared frustrated by Kyler’s inability to make the proper reads on critical downs. All of this has an outsized impact on Murray’s fantasy prospects. He now ranks 31st among QBs in expected fantasy points per game, below Bo Nix and Daniel Jones.

Ravens worked out QB Adrian Martinez, formerly of the Jets.

Martinez, who played four seasons at Nebraska and one at Kansas State in college, was the the UFL MVP in 2024. He’s had stints with the Jets and 49ers, appearing in one NFL game. The Ravens are shoring up their QB room after Lamar Jackson (thumb) and Tyler Huntley (toe) went down in Week 8. The Ravens on Tuesday signed journeyman QB Kedon Slovis.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said George Pickens “needs the ball coming in his direction more.”

Jones apparently isn’t happy with Pickens’ usage through Week 8. Pickens has been targeted on 22 percent of his pass routes on the season, well below CeeDee Lamb’s 34 percent rate. He’s accounted for 31 percent of the team’s air yards, nearly the same rate he saw in 2025. In the Cowboys’ humiliating Week 8 loss to the Cardinals, Pickens had nine targets, one short of Lamb’s ten. Perhaps Jerry has not adequately studied the spreadsheets. Either way, Pickens remains an upside WR2 headed into Week 9.

Ravens signed QB Kedon Slovis from the Packers practice squad.

Slovis could, unbelievably, get the start Thursday night against the Jaguars with Lamar Jackson (thumb) and Tyler Huntley (toe) out, and Joe Fagnano (ankle) iffy to suit up. If Fagnano can play, Slovis would presumably serve as Baltimore’s backup. Fagnano completed 48 percent of his passes for 91 yards and a pick last week against the Bills. Look for the Ravens to be ultra run-heavy against Jacksonville, one of the league’s best run defenses. It will be tough to trust anyone in the Ravens offense as a viable fantasy option for now.

Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak said the team’s backfield touch distribution will be a “moving target.”

Mike Washington, Jr. in Week 8 against the Jets took over as the team’s lead rusher, logging 25 carries to just two carries for Ashton Jeanty. While Kubiak said after the game that Jeanty would remain a part of the offense, it’s clear the Raiders are willing to experiment with backfield touches. “You see where your team is at and who’s playing the best ball at the time. It’s a 17-game regular season where things change every week. They’ve been changing at guard, they change up front defensively, they change at corner,” Kubiak said. “That’s the NFL. We have a young roster and we’re going to give guys opportunities and see what fits us best. But your 11, whether you’re playing really well or not playing well at all, it’s always going to change a little bit.” The Raiders through Week 8 rank dead last in EPA per rush and second to last in rushing success rate. Jeanty should remain viable as long as he’s the team’s primary pass catcher out of the backfield. Jeanty ranks fifth among all RBs in expected fantasy points per game.

Jets offensive coordinator Frank Reich said he “assumes” Breece Hall will remain the team’s lead back when he returns from injury.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has knocked down suggestions that the Jets would trade Hall before the league’s trade deadline, as Braelon Allen continues as one of the NFL’s most productive rushers. When asked about how the backfield might look when Hall returns from his quad injury, Reich seemed to say Hall would remain the de factor lead runner. “Well, that’s obviously coach’s decision, but they’re both the guy … I mean, that’s a good problem to have,” Reich said. “That’s coach’s decision, but to me … Breece is our guy. I’m assuming Breece is our guy, you know what I mean? He’s one of the best in the NFL, but I think what’s been so excited is like, oh my gosh, we’ve got two of them. I mean, we’ve got two. This Braelon guy, he’s a beast as well.” Allen this season ranks third among running backs in rushing success rate; 11th in rush yards over expected per attempt; eighth in yards after contact per rush; and over the past three weeks he ranks eighth among RBs in expected fantasy points per game, proving the haters wrong along the way. Hall is expected to return to action this week against the Chiefs.
