    Jaguars released OL Drew Miller.

Miller didn’t see action for the Jags last season.

49ers running back Kaelon Black (adductor) is playing in today’s joint practices with the Chargers.

He missed about two weeks of camp. There’s still time for him to impress the coaches, but Black probably needs to leave a lasting impression over these next two weeks to make a dent in Jordan James’ RB2 status.
Ward predicted to lead QBs in most interceptions
Jay Croucher and Drew Dinsick share why Cam Ward could lead the NFL in most interceptions thrown this season due to his high turnover-worthy play rate last season.

Bears coach Ben Johnson said Kyle Monangai (knee) is “week to week.”

Monangai suffered a hyperextended knee in practice and was expected to miss multiple weeks per reports. This statement is well in line with that conclusion. It sounds like Monangai has a good chance to be ready for the regular season and this shouldn’t grievously wound his fantasy football draft stock.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that CB Terrion Arnold will be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list when he signs.

Arnold hasn’t officially signed with the Seahawks yet and they are “working through the timing and it will take a while.” The NFL coming out ahead of this and noting that he’ll be on the commissioner’s exempt list probably won’t help his once-robust market, but we’ll see how the roster machinations play out over the next few weeks.

Chiefs WR Tyquan Thornton suffered a hamstring strain at practice on Tuesday.

Thornton headed into the medical tent and was subsequently carted to the locker room at Tuesday’s practice. Now it’s been revealed that he suffered a hamstring strain. It’s unclear how long Thornton might be out, but his injury further opens the door for camp standout Cyrus Allen.

Giants signed RB Najee Harris to a one-year deal.

Harris visited the Giants on Monday and the connection is obvious with Greg Roman on the coaching staff after he was the OC with the Chargers, where Harris played last year. The Giants maybe aren’t the ideal landing spot with Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary all healthy at the moment. Harris should work as the RB3 with occasional opportunities to cut into Skattebo’s workload.

Chiefs WR Tyquan Thornton was carted to the locker room at practice on Tuesday.

Thornton spent time in the medical tent before he was carted to the locker room during Tuesday’s practice. It’s unclear what the injury may be. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but if Thornton has to miss time during the regular season that would stand to benefit Cyrus Allen as he tries to establish himself in the Chiefs’ receiver group.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn told reporters TE Kenyon Sadiq (hernia) will be ready for Week 1.

Sadiq is getting closer to being ready, according to Glenn. The head coach reiterated as he said earlier this month that Sadiq’s absence won’t extend into the regular season. Missing as much time as he did this offseason and in training camp, it’s unlikely Sadiq will have an immediate fantasy impact.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn told reporters RB Breece Hall (groin) will be out 2-3 weeks.

Hall suffered a groin strain and left Monday’s practice with Glenn saying he didn’t think the injury was a big deal. Now Hall is set to miss the next 2-3 weeks. The good news is that Hall is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, but the kind of breakout season fantasy drafters are looking for from Hall typically don’t begin with a multi-week preseason injury. Hall may be ready for the start of the season, but fantasy managers should have a backup plan. Braelon Allen is the late-round handcuff for Hall if his absence does extend into the regular season.

Packers HC Matt LaFluer told reporters RB Josh Jacobs (groin) will return to practice on Tuesday.

Jacobs has been out since August 6 with a groin injury, but the 28-year-old running back will return to practice on Tuesday. With the possibility of a suspension still looming if the league finds that he violated the Personal Conduct policy, Jacobs is a risky RB2 going in the fourth round of fantasy drafts.

Raiders TE Brock Bowers (personal) returned to practice on Monday.

Bowers missed Sunday’s practice with a personal issue. He returned Monday and caught two touchdowns from Kirk Cousins during team drills. Bowers was spotted with tape on his left knee, the same knee that he injured last year (PCL sprain). Hopefully it turns out to be nothing and Bowers wasn’t limited in any way during Monday’s practice, but it could be something worth keeping an eye on.
