Former Packers DE Johnny Jolly was granted his release from prison just six months into a six-year sentence.

The judge gave Jolly “shock probation,” granted when a convict is released early after experiencing a wake-up call from the shock of prison. Jolly will remain on probation for 10 years after being arrested four times for illegal possession of codeine. He has been suspended indefinitely from the NFL.

Jadarian Price (upper body soreness) missed his third consecutive practice on Monday.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said “you start putting days and (a) timetable on it, it’s just...a young guy like that, let’s just go attack the heck out of it until he can come back and practice again.” The News Tribune’s Gregg Bell believes it “doesn’t sound like Price is playing” in Seattle’s first preseason game on Saturday. This injury has morphed from “leg soreness” to “upper body soreness.” We don’t have any real concerns about Price’s injury holding him out long-term, but it’s possible the missed reps keep him from a bigger workload when the regular season arrives.
Diggs vs. Samuel: Who will finish with most yards?
Trysta Krick and Jay Croucher debate who will finish with the most regular-season receiving yards between veteran wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Deebo Samuel.

The Jaguars listed Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez as co-starters on their initial unofficial depth chart.

Despite Tuten impressing in training camp per all eyes on the ground and Rodriguez being sidelined for most of the offseason with a foot injury, it remains a split backfield. That’s not a particularly auspicious sign for Tuten, though we imagine this will be a hot hand backfield and probably split in a way where no one actually leaves happy anyway with LeQuint Allen also siphoning third-down plays. The Jaguars have said they’re not playing their starters in the preseason, so this may remain a murky situation through the end of draft season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes Josh Jacobs could still be suspended by the NFL for violating the NFL Personal Conduct policy.

The district attorney’s investigation into Jacobs’ domestic violence incident was still open as of late July. Schefter didn’t focus as much on Jacobs’ situation as he did Puka Nacua’s in this video, but he said Jacobs is “still under review” and it’s still “a pending situation” in the NFL. Schefter expects discipline to be a potential option before the start of the season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes “it’s within the realm of options” that the NFL suspends Puka Nacua for his offseason incidents.

Nacua has had a civil lawsuit filed against him for biting a woman and making an “unprovoked antisemtic sentiment.” The star receiver checked in to a luxury treatment center this past offseason. Schefter confirmed that the NFL is still discussing potential discipline for Nacua and Rams LT Alaric Jackson. This probably isn’t something to be overly concerned about in fantasy drafts — we suspect any suspension for Nacua would be short-term — but Schefter believes it’s possible that Nacua is suspended for the Rams opener against the 49ers.

Dolphins WR Caleb Douglas is a starter on the team’s initial unofficial depth chart.

Douglas has had some camp buzz after going 75th overall and appears to be holding off Tutu Atwell for a starting role. While this does not mean Douglas is necessarily going to be a fantasy factor this season, neither Malik Washington nor Jalen Tolbert have done much with their opportunities so far in their respective careers. It’s certainly possible — if not outright likely — that Douglas rides a high target share to be fantasy-interesting early.

Ravens CB Nate Wiggins was carted off the practice field Tuesday after suffering an apparent injury.

Wiggins got tangled with Ja’Kobi Lane and tumbled to the turf. Jesse Minter said that Wiggins is getting tests done and that he doesn’t know yet if it’s a long-term injury. Baltimore’s cornerback depth could be tested early if Wiggins is indeed out for more than a short period of time.

Saints coach Kellen Moore said Cameron Jordan (hamstring) will miss time and it could linger into the regular season.

It’s a blow to New Orleans’ early EDGE rusher depth if it does drag on. Jordan re-signed with the Saints this offseason and is looking to finish off a 16-year run solely with the Saints. He’s not guaranteed starter snaps, but Jordan is still a productive veteran even though he’s in his age-37 season.

Colts announced Anthony Richardson will start Thursday’s preseason game against the Patriots.

Richardson and Riley Leonard will both play, while Daniel Jones will sit. Richardson’s trade request this offseason has gone nowhere, but the Colts appear to be giving him ample opportunity to showcase himself in the preseason as he will get the first half here and the second half next week against Atlanta, while Leonard picks up the other two halves. The Colts are likely hoping someone talks themselves into trading a low pick for Richardson.

J.K. Dobbins (soft tissue injury) was seen doing drills Tuesday.

It’s hardly a surprise after head coach Sean Payton told beat writers Dobbins would be “fine” after he left Monday with the unspecified injury. Dobbins profiles as the Broncos’ lead back who will probably cede pass-catching duties to RJ Harvey once again in 2026. Rookie RB Jonah Coleman would be an interesting fantasy add if Dobbins, 27, misses any time in 2026. Dobbins last season missed nine games with a foot sprain.

Deebo Samuel is listed as a starting receiver on the 49ers’ initial depth chart.

It’s an unofficial depth chart and should be taken with some skepticism. Mike Evans and Demarcus Robinson are listed as starting wideouts alongside Samuel, who signed with the Niners last week after spending 2025 in Washington. Familiar with Kyle Shanahan’s offense after playing in San Francisco for the first six years of his NFL career, Samuel could see a surprising amount of playing time with Christian Kirk banged up and Ricky Pearsall out for the season with a knee injury. De’Zaun Stribling is listed as a WR2 on the unofficial depth chart for now. His performance in training camp and Niners coaches’ comments about the rookie suggest he’ll get plenty of run alongside Evans and Samuel in 2026.
