Eagles signed Iowa State DE JaQuan Bailey.
Bailey (6'2/246) was a high three-star recruit out of Jacksonville, FL who committed to Florida before flipping his commitment to Iowa State to play with his twin brother. It proved to be a smart decision, as he contributed immediately as a true freshman by starting seven games and leading the team in sacks. He went on to become a legitimate legend at ISU, setting school records with 44.5 TFL and 25.5 sacks while earning first-team All-American recognition in 2020. A tireless worker and team captain, Bailey makes up for below-average physical traits with sheer willpower and guile. And by below average, we mean objectively very poor as his 1.56 Relative Athletic Score is one of the lowest in this year’s edge class. He lacks the kind of length (31 5/8th” arm length) and agility needed to excel at the NFL level, but is technically sound and has advanced hand fighting ability to free himself from blocks.
