The Buffalo News believes DE Mario Addison’s roster spot “could be in jeopardy.”

Signed to a three-year deal last March, Addison restructured this offseason, voiding the 2022 season. There’s still a chance Buffalo moves on after drafting rookies Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham in the first two rounds. Addison, 34 in September, was limited to five sacks in 2020 and seems likely to decline from his 56% snap rate. Addison’s $6 million dead-cap hit would make for an unlikely cap casualty. Buffalo can save $2.1 million from his release.

Samaje Perine rushed three times for seven yards in the Bengals’ Week 4 loss to the Jaguars.

Perine only saw three touches on the day, though he had a rushing touchdown called back for holding in the second quarter. He has generally held a pass-catching role throughout his career but ceded all the backfield pass-catching opportunities to Chase Brown on the day. Perine remains a handcuff in the event of a Brown injuyr.
Boston 'biggest beneficiary' of Browns' success
Kyle Dvorchak unpacks Denzel Boston's recent performances and emphasizes that he's been the "biggest beneficiary," of the Cleveland Browns' success this season.

Pat Surtain exited Week 4 against the 49ers with an apparent leg injury.

Surtain went down with a non-contact injury late in the second quarter and needed help getting the the Denver locker room. He was seen grabbing at his calf and foot area. Hopefully for the Broncos this injury is not a worst-case scenario for one of the NFL’s best cover corners. Brock Purdy and the Niners should have an easier time moving the ball if Surtain is sidelined for the remainder of this game.

Emeka Egbuka caught 2-of-4 targets for 13 yards in the Buc’s Week 4 loss to the Packers.

Egbuka had been operating as the Bucs’ No. 1 receiver until this game. With Jalon Daniels struggling to get the deep ball going, he opted for easy completions to Cade Otton and Chris Godwin, who combined for 10 catches. Egbuka, in turn, was hung out to dry. He almost saved the day with a touchdown catch, but the throw was low and behind him. Egbuka still had a chance to bring in the pass but couldn’t corral it with a Green Bay defender smothering him in coverage. Egbuka hasn’t topped 64 yards in a game since Week 10 of last year. With Daniles under center for a few more weeks, it may be a while before Egbuka hits triple digits again. He is barely a WR3 for his Week 5 date with the Cowboys.

Jeremiyah Love rushed 14 times for 63 yards in the Cardinals’ Week 4 loss to the Giants.

Love “added” a -8 yard reception, One week after seeming to seize complete command of the Cardinals’ backfield with a 26-touch, 109-yard performance, Love out-touched Tyler Allgeier just 15-10. It was Allgeier who notched a 22-yard touchdown. Asked about it afterwards, coach Mike LaFleur lamely mentioned something about the Cardinals’ two-minute offense. Twitter doctors were claiming Love — who had only one fourth quarter touch — was dealing with some sort of injury, but we didn’t see it. Neither LaFleur nor Love made any mention of any kind of supposed issue after the game. We assume he will be fine ahead of a potential Week 5 shootout with the Lions.

Chase Brown rushed nine times for 10 yards in the Bengals’ Week 4 loss to the Jaguars, adding 11 receptions for 71 yards.

It was a big pass-catching day for Brown, who saw 11-of-54 total Bengals targets on the day. After Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) exited, Brown and Tee Higgins saw massive upticks in usage. Brown saw 57 backfield snaps, catching a series of checkdowns and wheel routes despite just 10 rushing yards on the day. He worked ahead of Samaje Perine on passing downs, a good sign for his fantasy production moving forward. We don’t expect Brown to consistently see this many targets but a high backfield share gives him a consistent fantasy floor. Brown is a fringe RB1 for Week 5 against the Dolphins.

Wan’Dale Robinson caught 3-of-5 targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Titans’ Week 4 loss to the Ravens.

Robinson was bailed out of a disappointing fantasy day when he hauled in a three-yard touchdown pass from Cam Ward late in the fourth quarter. Robinson was heavily out-targeted by Carnell Tate in this one, but he and Tate continue to be the only fantasy-viable receivers in this Titans offense. Robinson could be in play as a desperation FLEX play in next week’s game agains the Texans.

Ted Hurst caught 2-of-3 targets for 25 yards in the Bucs’ Week 4 loss to the Packers.

Hurst was the only Bucs pass-catcher to gain more than 20 yards on a single play. The passing game was otherwise relegated to intermediate throws and check-downs in Jalon Daniels’ first start. With Jalen McMillan on IR, Hurst has locked up a starting role. That simply is worth much for fantasy managers with a backup quarterback under center. Hurst will be a desperation FLEX play when he takes on the Cowboys next week.

Tony Pollard rushed 16 times for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Titans’ Week 4 loss to the Ravens, adding two catches for two additional yards.

Pollard was wildly inefficient in this one, but saved his fantasy day when he scored a three-yard touchdown in the first quarter to give the Titans their first points of the day. It was the first touchdown of the season for Pollard, who continues to serve as the Titans’ primary back, but there’s not much fantasy upside to be had here. Pollard will be a boom-or-bust RB3 next week against the Texans.

Chris Godwin caught 6-of-7 targets for 31 yards in the Bucs’ Week 4 loss to the Packers.

UDFA rookie Jalon Daniels made his first career start and leaned on Godwin for some easy completions. Godwin led the team in catches and targets, though Cade Otton surprisingly led the way in yards with 37. Godwin set new season highs in targets and catches. The Bucs are operating an incredibly low-wattage offense without Baker Mayfield, but Godwin could continue to see enough work to return WR4 numbers in PPR leagues. He will put that to the test versus the Cowboys in Week 5.

Davante Adams caught 4-of-9 targets for 32 yards in the Rams’ Week 4 win over the Eagles.

Adams was the victim of a bad Matthew Stafford ball or two in rainy Philadelphia conditions, but he sadly immediately reverted to clear No. 2 wideout status with Puka Nacua back in the lineup. Nacua went off for 9/125. Adams now has seven catches for 58 scoreless yards in two games with Nacua in the lineup compared to 15/332/2 in two games without. Hopefully that trend normalizes a bit for a potential Week 5 shootout with the Bills.
