  • DAL Defensive Back #2
Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis will miss the rest of the 2022 season with a Lisfranc injury.
Lewis intercepted Jared Goff late in the game against the Lions but was injured on the play, which will go down as his final play of 2022. Lewis was playing meaningful snaps for the Cowboys as a slot corner, and his absence will be a blow to their defensive depth going forward.

  • MIA Running Back #31
Raheem Mostert (chest) remained “limited” for Thursday’s practice.
We wouldn’t assume Mostert is returning until he gets in a full session on Friday or is removed from the injury report. He could end up with a genuine “questionable” tag. We do know the Dolphins have incentive to push the envelope with their 1B back, as they are going to have no choice but to run the ball more in Tua Tagovailoa’s absence. Mostert will be a touchdown-based FLEX option if he returns after a one-week absence.
  • SEA Running Back #9
Kenneth Walker (oblique) remained sidelined Thursday.
Walker has yet to take a practice rep of any kind since getting injured late in Week 1. At this point, not even a “limited” Friday return would probably be enough to get him out of the field against the Dolphins. Although inefficient and un-explosive, Zach Charbonnet’s status as an every-snap player in KWIII’s absence keeps him in the low-end RB1 mix.
  • NYJ Linebacker #57
Jets MLB C.J. Mosley (toe) is inactive for Week 3 against the Patriots.
Mosley’s toe issue was too much to overcome on the short week. Joining Mosley on the shelf are OT Max Mitchell, OT Carter Warren, RB Izzy Abanikanda, DE Eric Watts and CB Jarrick-Bernard Converse.
  • NE Center #60
Patriots C David Andrews (hip) is active for Week 3 against the Jets.
The Pats’ pivot was the biggest question mark in a game without many injury concerns. Hopefully this short-week contest doesn’t change that for the Jets and Pats heading into Week 4. Inactive for the Patriots are CB Marco Wilson, QB Joe Milton, DE Jamree Kromah, LB Ja’Whaun Bentley, LT Vederian Lowe and LG Sidy Sow.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #11
Josh Reynolds (achilles) was upgraded to “full” for Thursday’s practice.
Shockingly important to the Broncos’ passing attack thus far, Reynolds is pushing the top 20 in overall receiving yardage. That’s not going to last long, but Reynolds could maybe operate as a desperation WR4 vs. a banged-up Bucs defense.
  • DEN Tight End #80
Greg Dulcich (knee, ankle) was upgraded to “full” for Thursday’s practice.
He’s going to be out there against the Bucs. Dulcich has 11 targets but only 28 yards through two weeks. We would like to say the center can’t hold there, but that’s “Bo Nix ball.” Dulcich is a low-upside TE2.
  • TB Running Back #1
Rachaad White (groin) remained “limited” for Thursday’s practice.
We haven’t seen much concern as to White’s Week 3 status, though a “full” practice on Friday would be nice. For now we would expect the Bucs’ lead back to be ready for his typical RB2 workload, though White coming out of the gate slow and Bucky Irving getting the “hot hand” would be within the range of outcomes.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #18
Justin Jefferson (quad) has guaranteed he will suit up for Sunday’s game against the Texans.
“Yeah, for sure,” was Jefferson’s Thursday response when asked if he will be a go. Jefferson has yet to get in a full practice this week, but the fact that he’s practicing at all after departing last Sunday’s contest has told the tale. Jefferson will be in the top three for a game we hope doesn’t turn into a “surprising” defensive slugfest.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Aaron Jones (hip) was upgraded to “full” for Thursday’s practice.
Wednesday was just a day of maintenance for a veteran back who had a difficult time staying healthy in 2023. Although Ty Chandler got more involved in Week 2, Jones’ snap share actually increased from Week 1. He remains a wild card RB2 in the 18-24 range.
  • NYJ EDGE #52
Jets placed EDGE Jermaine Johnson on injured reserve with a torn Achilles.
Johnson’s year is over. The 2022 first-round pick tore the Achilles during Week 2 against the Titans. Johnson finished with 7.5 sacks in 2024 during his second season, and was expected to be a big part of their pass rush. That won’t happen now, and New York may need to look externally with Haason Riddick unlikely to report to the Jets in the foreseeable future.
