Russell Wilson completed 24-of-29 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns in the Broncos’ 24-22, Week 10 win over the Bills, adding 30 yards on nine carries.
Wilson was held to a career low 3.4 intended air yards per pass attempt but managed to hold off the Bills to improve the Broncos to 4-5. Denver managed to hold the football for a whopping 37 minutes and 21 seconds on the backs of four takeaways, doing enough to keep Josh Allen and the Bills off the field on their way to a game-winning field goal as time expired. It wasn’t all roses for the Broncos, however, who missed two point after attempts and also missed a would-be game-winning field goal with four seconds remaining before a too many men on the field penalty infraction by the Bills allowed for a re-kick. Either way, Wilson looked in vintage form, extending plays and escaping with his legs when necessary. His first touchdown came on a scramble drill via circus catch by wide receiver Courtland Sutton on the sideline of the end zone. The surging Broncos have ripped off three consecutive wins, two of which came against the Chiefs and Bills, and now look to make a push at a playoff spot over the final two months of the season. Up next for Wilson and the Broncos is a home matchup against a Vikings team that has won five consecutive games of their own in Week 11.
