Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports Vikings CB Byron Murphy “is poised to hit the open market when the legal tampering period begins.”
According to Schultz, the Vikings would like to re-sign Murphy, but the 2024 Pro Bowler is expected to test his value in free agency when the legal tampering period opens. Murphy totaled nine interceptions in his two seasons with the Vikings while racking up 138 tackles and another 27 pass breakups. At just 27 years old, he’s expected to have a strong market after last year’s breakout. His PFF coverage grade of 72.6 ranked 23rd among 117 corners (min. 300 snaps).

James Cook rushed 20 times for 74 yards in the Bills’ Week 17 loss to the Eagles.
The Eagles were flying all over the field to stop the run today, showing little concern for the Bills’ passing attack, and it worked, for the most part. Cook had a long run of 10 yards and was routinely hit one or two yards from the line of scrimmage. He also subbed himself out of the game a few times after some big hits, including a near fumble where he landed on the top of his head. The Bills don’t have much to play for against the Jets, but they likely will want Cook to cement his status as the NFL’s leading rusher, so we’d expect at least one busy half of football for Cook next week.
Kelce's future looms over Chiefs' fantasy WR corps
With Travis Kelce potentially having played his final Chiefs home game in Week 17, Denny Carter looks at which pass catchers could be fantasy relevant in Week 18 and beyond, should the star tight end retire.
  • NYG Running Back #29
Tyrone Tracy rushed 14 times for 62 yards in the Giants’ Week 17 win over the Raiders, adding one reception for minus-five yards.
Through the Giants’ first two drives, the coaching staff let Tracy play on all but one snap before ultimately settling into a rotation between him and No. 2 RB Devin Singletary, with Tracy still operating as the lead back. They did what they could to help Tracy get into the end zone, late in the fourth quarter, giving him three consecutive carries after Singletary brought the ball down to the Raiders’ 22-yard line. Tracy netted just three yards on those plays, which brought Singletary back onto the field for QB Jaxson Dart’s play-action touchdown scramble. Tracy is an RB2 against the Cowboys in Week 18.
  • PHI Quarterback #1
Jalen Hurts completed 13-of-27 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ 13-12, Week 17 win over the Bills.
The 27-year-old didn’t light up the box score, averaging just 4.1 yards per completion. However, a lot of that was on the playcalling, which started by having Hurts drop back to pass three times in a torrential downpour. Hurts had a few nice completions to A.J. Brown and a short touchdown to Dallas Goedert, but the Eagles had just 190 yards of total offense in this game. Things should open up a bit more next week against the Commanders.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Darius Slayton caught 2-of-3 targets for 36 yards in the Giants’ Week 17 win over the Raiders.
Slayton lined up in the slot on the Giants’ fourth drive, got open on a corner route and hauled in a pass from QB Jaxson Dart that netted him 18 yards. Unfortunately, Slayton had to backpedal to nab the ball and ultimately fell over after securing the pass. He was quickly touched down by a Raiders defender. Slayton earned an end zone target from nine yards out on the following drive, but a Raiders defender successfully contested the catch in the air. Slayton is just a boom-bust FLEX against the Cowboys next week.
  • BUF Quarterback #17
Josh Allen completed 23-of-35 passes for 262 yards in the Bills’ 13-12, Week 17 loss to the Eagles, adding 27 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns.
The Bills had no points and under 200 total yards entering the fourth quarter before Allen punched in rushing touchdowns on two straight drives. Unfortunately for the Bills, the extra point was blocked on the first one, which prompted them to go for two and the win on the second one. Allen had Khalil Shakir wide open in the back of the end zone and missed him badly. That was a microcosm of the larger story. Allen made some big throws and converted big rushes late when the team needed him, but he also had a costly fumble in the first half and took a really bad sack in the third quarter that took them out of field goal range. He was also sacked five times and seemed to reaggravate his foot injury from last week, which left him hobbling and unable to really run or plant on his back foot. With the Bills all but locked into the six or seven seed in the AFC, there’s a chance that the Bills rest Allen next week against the Jets.
  • TEN Quarterback #1
Cam Ward completed 21-of-40 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans’ 34-26, Week 17 loss to the Saints.
Despite taking another loss, Ward once again looked much better than he did in the first three months of the year. He threw multiple touchdowns for the fourth week in a row and didn’t throw a pick for the third straight week. Ward almost made a mind-bending throw in the Titans’ penultimate drive. He stepped up through the pocket and dove forward while throwing to his left, finding Tyjae Spears in the flat. Spears took off for a long gain, but the replay showed Ward’s knee hitting the ground just before the ball left his hand. Ward’s physical attributes have never been the issue, but his decision-making isn’t always on point. That was on full display when he didn’t notice Siants EDGE Chase Young running him down behind the line of scrimmage. Young simply took the ball out of his hands and ran it into the end zone for a touchdown. Still, Titans fans will take the bad with the good. Ward has worked his way into the QB2 ranks heading into the final week of the regular season.
  • NYG Tight End #82
Daniel Bellinger caught 2-of-3 targets for 11 yards in the Giants’ Week 17 win over the Raiders.
On the Giants’ first drive, Bellinger nearly secured a pass more than 15 yards downfield, but could not hold onto it after getting leveled by a Raiders defender. He earned just two targets after that, though one occurred late in the game on 3rd-and-8, from the Raiders’ nine-yard line. He caught the pass and was stopped two yards shy of the end zone. Bellinger returns to TE2 status against the Cowboys next week if TE Theo Johnson (illness) is good to go.
  • LV Quarterback #7
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that QB Geno Smith suffered a “high-ankle sprain” in Week 17 against the Giants.
Unfortunately, this comes as no surprise. Smith had his right foot pinned by a Raiders offensive lineman during an interception return, and a Giants defender hit him via an illegal block from the left side, badly twisting the right ankle. Trainers came out to meet Smith on the field after he remained down after the play. He eventually limped his way to the locker room and was later ruled out.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #17
Wan’Dale Robinson caught 11-of-14 targets for 113 yards in the Giants’ Week 17 win over the Raiders.
Robinson dominated targets from start to finish, earning a 48.3 percent target share against the Raiders. The talented slot receiver got open with ease, banking a 17-yard gain via a corner route on the Giants’ first drive, which set the tone for his day as a whole. Robinson regularly picked up intermediate gains on corner routes and out routes, snagging passes along the sideline. On the Giants’ sixth drive, he hauled in a pass on a 10-yard out route, putting him over the 1,000-yard mark on the season. Robinson is a WR3 against the Cowboys next week.
  • NO Tight End #7
Taysom Hill rushed three times for zero yards in the Saints’ Week 17 win over the Titans.
Hill was not targeted and did not attempt a pass. He rushed 12 times last week while also catching four passes and throwing one. That was likely his final home game as a Saint and the team clearly made it a point to give him a proper sendoff. Facing the Titans in Tennessee, Kellen Moore deployed Audric Estime as his lead back. Estime ran 19 times today. Hill’s time in the spotlight has come to an end. Fantasy managers can ignore him for Week 18.
