NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Rams S Quentin Lake (elbow) underwent surgery and “the hope is he’s back before or during the playoffs.”
Lake will presumably be placed on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least four weeks. Lake was having a breakout year before going down with the injury. He had 10 pass breakups, one interception, and one sack in 10 games, all of which were starts. Losing him will be a short-term blow to LA’s defense, but the good news is that it doesn’t sound like a season-ending injury.
