Alexander Mattison (neck) revealed he needed emergency surgery for a fractured neck.

Mattison hopes to play again but is “still recovering.” The 28-year-old, an impending free agent, likely won’t be on radars for the first wave of free agency. Once he’s cleared to play, it’s possible he finds work ahead of training camp.

The Athletic’s Chad Graff believes Kayshon Boutte has been the “star” of Patriots training camp.

Boutte, according to Patriots beat writers and coaches, has functioned as Drake Maye’s favorite target, especially downfield, while A.J. Brown struggles to connect with Maye while dealing with consistent coverage from all-pro CB Christian Gonzalez. “If [Boutte] keeps this up, he’s either increasing his value on the trade market or playing his way into a meaningful role with the Pats,” Graff said. Boutte had been rumored as a trade candidate after the Patriots acquired Brown and Romeo Doubs this offseason. He should be drafted in all 12-team fantasy formats in the coming weeks.
Can Cook become a top three fantasy RB?
Kyle Dvorchak and Patrick Daugherty discuss whether increased passing-game usage can help James Cook close the gap on fantasy stars such as Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson, or if his receiving role will hold him back.

The Athletic’s Chad Graff reports Tre’Veyon Henderson has struggled with pass blocking in training camp.

It’s a concerning development since pass protection cost Henderson major snaps and reps during his disappointing 2025 rookie campaign. Graff said Henderson during training camp has “looked a bit like last season: big, explosive plays, but just enough mistakes in pass protection that it feels like a risk to use him on third downs.” Without serious improvement in his blocking, Henderson’s role likely won’t change all that much in 2026. Meanwhile, Rhamondre Stevenson, per Graff, “has done enough to keep the Patriots’ backfield workload at 50-50.” New England’s backfield is once again shaping up to be frustrating for fantasy purposes in 2026.

Jets TE Kenyon Sadiq did not participate in training camp Wednesday.

This marks the third straight day Sadiq has missed as he recovers from offseason hernia surgery. Head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters Sadiq is on a “maintenance program” for now, and did not offer a return date for the first-round rookie. Sadiq is listed as the Jets’ TE2 behind Mason Taylor, with Jeremy Ruckert behind the rookie. Fantasy managers should monitor Sadiq’s training camp participation in the coming weeks.

Falcons signed Bijan Robinson to a three-year contract extension worth up to $75 million.

The deal includes a whopping $51 million in guarantees. Robinson becomes the highest-paid running back in NFL history, surpassing Saquon Barkely. Under the new deal, Robinson, 24, will make $22.25 million per year, according to ESPN. This ends Robinson’s brief hold-in at Falcons training camp. Robinson over his first three NFL seasons has totaled 5,648 yards and 34 touchdowns as the centerpiece of the Atlanta offense. That won’t change under new head coach Kevin Stefanski, who has talked up Robinson’s pass-catching ability this offseason. Robinson should be among the first two picks in every fantasy format this summer.

Cowboys TE Princeton Fant (knee) was carted off the practice field Monday.

Fant was engaged in a block during practice and took the brunt of a knee-to-knee collision. He was unable to place weight on his left leg, requiring the cart to depart the practice field. Fant will undergo further testing to determine the extent of the injury. The special teams contributor has appeared in 11 games since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2023.

Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (undisclosed) did not practice Monday.

By all accounts, Wilson has been a beast on the field for the Cardinals through the early portions of camp, with multiple beat reporters hinting at the potential for him to end the 2026 season as the team’s leading wide receiver. The injury was not disclosed but Wilson was seen on the sideline in sweats cheering on his fellow receivers through position drills. It doesn’t appear to be something that could jeopardize his status as one of the team’s top pass catchers as the regular season inches closer, but fantasy managers will want to track his status in the coming days.

Rams TE Davis Allen (quadricep) missed practice Monday.

Speaking to media Monday, head coach Sean McVay relayed that it would be “some time” before Allen returns to the practice field considering the nature of the soft tissue injury. McVay added, “You don’t want to rush him back, Davis is going to be a big part of what we do this year.” Allen set career highs in his third professional season in 2025, catching 24 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns, ranking second on the team in offensive snaps behind only Colby Parkinson.

Ravens HC Jesse Minter said “I don’t know that there’s a deadline” in naming a starting center.

“On of them in the mix of the battle is coming off an injury. That timeline may or may not be perfect for that first game,” Minter relayed via the team’s website Monday. Recent signee Ethan Pocic is coming off a torn Achilles in Week 14 of the 2025 season but possesses the most starting experience of the players battling to supplant longtime starter Tyler Linderbaum following his departure in free agency. Minter’s comments, while slightly vague, seem to point towards Pocic as the desired starter, assuming his injury recovery continues to progress without hiccup. Fellow free agent additions Danny Pinter and Jovaughn Gwyn will compete with Pocic for the starting role.

Cardinals HC Mike LaFleur said the team is being cautious with Trey Benson after he had a “flare up” in his surgically repaired knee.

Benson had in-season meniscus surgery last season and never returned to the field. LaFleur said the team doesn’t anticipate this flare-up becoming a multi-week issue, but they’re clearly going to do what they need to do to help him manage things. Benson is competing for touches with James Conner and Tyler Allgeier in camp, but there’s been some belief that the Cardinals could keep four running backs on the final roster when all is said and done. Benson has a career rushing line of 92-451-1 through his first two seasons in the league.

Patriots activated RB Terrell Jennings from the active/non-football injury list.

Jennings is good to go after an undisclosed injury sidelined him for the first week of training camp. The third-year back is expected to compete for RB3 duties this season.
