Bills completed an interview with Jaguars OC Grant Udinski for their head-coaching vacancy.

The 30-year-old Udinski remains one of the hottest names this coaching cycle after he helped lead the Jaguars to the sixth-most points scored and 11th-most offensive yards in his first season. Before joining the Jaguars, Udinski spent three seasons with the Vikings under head coach Kevin O’Connell. If he were to land a head-coaching job, Udinski would become the youngest head coach in NFL history.

Bijan Robinson rushed 16 times for 72 yards in the Falcons’ Week 2 loss to the Panthers, adding three catches for nine yards.

Robinson did what he could in the midst of a Cooper Rush meltdown, but it’s hard to expect much when his team puts up a grand total of three points. Atlanta also pulled their starters early, allowing Brian Robinson Jr. to rack up 13 touches of his own. Robinson is a volume-based RB1 even when Rush is under center, and he’ll move back into the top three once Michael Penix takes over. That could happen next week versus the Packers on Thursday Night Football.
Giants very much 'alive' vs. Rams in Week 2
Jay Croucher and Drew Dinsick explain why they aren't putting too much stock in the Giants' good Week 1 form, but the Rams' slow start and other 'external factors' opens the door for an upset in LA.

Drake Maye completed 14-of-22 passes for 208 yards and an interception in the Patriots’ 20-3, Week 2 win over the Steelers.

It was a defensive slugfest for the Patriots and Steelers in Week 2, with neither team passing for a touchdown on the day. Maye added 17 rushing yards on four carries but took three sacks, including one in the red zone in the second quarter. His interception was a floater in Steelers territory in the third quarter, tossed right to Patrick Queen to end a drive. He ends the day with 44-percent of his passing yards coming on two third-quarter chunk plays to Romeo Doubs. Maye has had a rough start to the season, following up a three-interception Week 1 with a scoreless, one-interception Week 2. He faces another solid defense in the Jaguars for Week 3; Maye’s rushing upside keeps him in the low-end QB1 territory for next week.

The Bears have announced Caleb Williams’ right leg injury as a hamstring issue.

This wouldn’t normally be good news, but seeing as Williams was carted with a towel over his head, it would be the best possible news if this diagnosis holds. Although word is from the Bears themselves, diagnoses sometimes change in these cases. That would nevertheless seem unlikely in this particularly instance, as the hamstring is a much different kind of ailment than achilles’ tendon or knee. It would seem Williams has avoided a season-ending issue. He could still end up on injured reserve for a month if it’s a severe strain. Stay tuned. For now, Tyson Bagent should be considered extremely likely to start Week 3 against the Eagles.

Jonathon Brooks (groin) is questionable to return in Week 2 against the Falcons.

Brooks went down on a routine tackle in the fourth quarter and was slow to get up. He eventually left for the locker room with a towel over his head. Brooks missed time late in training camp with the groin issue and it seemingly flared up against the Falcons. He had five carries for 16 yards before leaving the game. AJ Dillon will back up Chuba Hubbard if Brooks is unavailable for Week 3.

Tyler Shough completed 27-of-34 passes for 252 yards and one touchdown in the Saints’ 24-17, Week 2 win over the Ravens, adding nine carries for 23 yards and a touchdown.

Shough played mistake-free football all afternoon, chipping away at the Ravens’ defense before leading his team to 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Shough repeatedly connected with Chris Olave all afternoon, with his biggest throw coming on a 21-yard touchdown to Olave, whose score went uncontested in the end zone. Shough punched in a one-yard score on a QB sneak with 1:21 left to put the Saints up 24-17 and complete the upset of the Ravens on the road. It wasn’t an overly flashy outing by Shough, but he was efficient against a stout Ravens defense, which still managed three sacks on the day. He’s now strung together two strong fantasy performances and will be on the radar as a high-end QB2 next week against the Raiders.

Lamar Jackson completed 21-of-31 passes for 235 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Ravens’ 24-17, Week 2 loss to the Saints, adding four carries for 34 additional yards.

A quick look at the box score would suggest the Ravens put up more than the 17 points they managed in Sunday’s loss, but Baltimore struggled to finish drives on Sunday. Despite making a handful of big plays on the day, one of which was a 22-yard touchdown pass to Rashod Bateman in the second quarter, Jackson took three pivotal sacks on three separate drives that resulted in just three points for the Ravens. Jackson completed 2-of-5 passes of 20-plus yards, with his longest completion a 47-yard strike to Devontez Walker, but on the Ravens’ final drive, Lamar missed a throw to Bateman, and safety Julian Blackmon picked it off to end the game. Hopefully, Zay Flowers will be back next week for Jackson in Week 3 against the Cowboys in what projects as a high-scoring game. As usual, Jackson will be a must-start next week.

Rico Dowdle rushed seven times for 22 yards before exiting the Steelers’ Week 2 game against the Patriots, adding two receptions for 22 yards.

Dowdle started the game in the Steelers’ backfield but left with a toe injury in the second quarter. He was carted to the locker room from the medical tent but returned in the second half. Dowdle was clearly hobbled while playing in the second half and he eventually exited again and was officially ruled out. He finishes the day with nine total touches for 44 yards, operating as the lead back in a split with Jaylen Warren. With Dowdle out, Travis Homer saw two carries and is in line for more snaps behind Warren.

Caleb Williams suffered a non-contact right leg injury in the fourth quarter of the Bears’ Week 2 game against the Vikings.

Tyson Bagent is now in the game at quarterback. Rolled out and scrambling for the end zone midway through the fourth quarter, Williams was trying to evade a tackle when he slipped and went down. He was not touched. He tried to get up but immediately went down writhing in pain. Williams was distraught as he was helped off the field by the Bears’ staff. He has since been carted to the locker room. Just awful. Williams was just 15-of-26 for 138 scoreless yards and an interception before departing. It has been a slugfest in Chicago.

Cooper Rush completed 10-of-17 passes for 86 yards and two interceptions before being benched in the third quarter of the Falcons’ Week 2 game against the Panthers

Rush opened the game with a lost fumble on Atlanta’s first offensive play of the day. Things somehow got worse from there. He was intercepted twice and nearly threw a third, but it went through the hands of Panthers linebacker Bobby Okereke. Rush was arguably the worst starter in the league in Week 1 and nothing changed for Week 2. With Michael Penix expected to make his 2026 debut next week, Rush may have just finished his final career start. Jack Strand will close this game out.

Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp (back) is not on the injury report and will play in Week 2 against the Cardinals.

Kupp, 33, is good to go against the Cardinals. He was limited on Wednesday, but upgraded to full on Thursday and Friday. With QB Drew Lock under center, Kupp’s outlook is a little more volatile. He should be viewed as just a boom-bust FLEX.
