It’s been tough sledding on Sunday at Quail Hollow as the Texan has the low lap of 41 that are in the books, despite a walk-off bogey. On seven (of 14) fairways and 13 greens in regulation, he posted -0.560 SG: Off-the-Tee, 2.922 SG: Approach, and 1.623 SG: Around. The 37-year-old squared three bogeys at holes 4, 11 and 18, outpaced by seven circles at 1, 6, 8, 13-15 and 17. He recorded 1.462 putts per GIR and 0.901 SG: Putting, ending the week with 18 birdies against eight bogeys and two doubles. The Lamar alum improves to 8-for-16 on the season with three top 25s and potentially a third top 10, which would be his first since T6 at the opposite-field Puerto Rico Open six starts ago. This was his seventh WFC, sixth cash, and second top 25, joining a T9 in 2015 four tries ago.
