After opening with a pair of 67s, he began T37 on 6-under, three shy of the overnight top 10, and landed 10 (of 14) fairways and 14 greens in regulation. The 36-year-old squared a lone bogey-5 at 16 (forced layup), outflanked by seven birdies, four from between 10 and 27 feet. He posted 0.106 SG: Off-the-Tee, 1.542 SG: Approach, 0.861 SG: Around, and 1.969 SG: Putting. The NE Florida resident’s most recent of two TOUR victories came at the 2016 Travelers 139 starts ago, where he came from three back (T2) with 2-under 68 to win by one over Jerry Kelly.
