Dillon Dingler went 4-for-4 with two homers, a double and four RBI as the Tigers topped the Twins 10-4 on Tuesday.

It’s still kind of hard to see Dingler ending the season in the running for AL MVP honors, but he’s very much on the short list through 57 games. All four of his balls in play tonight were hard hit, and he’s batting .248//329/. 528 with 16 homers and 48 RBI while also performing as one of the league’s top defensive catchers to date. He’s tied for 11th in the majors in homes and fifth in RBI.
Sal Stewart

Sal Stewart went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer to lift the Reds to a 5-3 win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Stewart had drawn a pair of walks before the game was extended to extra innings. He came up in a big spot for the Reds at the top of the 11th, taking Yuki Matsui deep for a two-run blast to take the lead. His first home run in 15 games couldn’t have come at a better time. The 22-year-old slugger is up to 13 this season while hitting .254/.351/.464 with 36 runs scored, 42 RBI, and 10 steals across 288 plate appearances.
James Wood

WSH Right Fielder #29

James Wood went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, one RBI, and a steal in the Nationals’ 6-3 win over the Giants on Tuesday.

Wood singled to lead off the game, then scored on a two-run homer by Luis García Jr. He then singled to drive in a run in the fifth before swiping second for his 12th steal of the season. He collected his third hit in the seventh and scored again on a bases-loaded walk. The 23-year-old outfielder is having an excellent season across the board, hitting .271/.407/.527 with 17 homers, 60 runs scored, and 41 RBI across 317 plate appearances.
Henry Bolte

Henry Bolte went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the A’s 7-5 win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

Twenty-two games into his career, Bolte had still been searching for his first major league home run after crushing 12 over 22 games in Triple-A. He finally got on the board with a two-run blast off Robert Gasser in the second inning, a 106.9 mph shot at 446 feet. The 22-year-old outfielder has otherwise performed well, hitting .295/.371/.385 with seven runs scored, seven RBI, and four steals across 89 plate appearances.

Walbert Ureña tossed five shutout innings with seven strikeouts in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Ureña held the Astros scoreless over five innings on Tuesday, but was working around traffic throughout. He tossed just one clean inning as he stranded multiple baserunners in every other frame, scattering three hits and five walks. Seven strikeouts helped him keep the Astros from bringing runners home. The 22-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 2.44 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and a 55/33 K/BB ratio across 55 1/3 innings into a start against the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Monday.
Hunter Goodman

Hunter Goodman hit a two-run homer to help the Rockies beat the Cubs on Tuesday by a 7-3 score.

Goodman gave the Rockies a 2-0 lead with a shot to right-center off Colin Rea in the first inning. The 26-year-old also drew a pair of walks, and the three-reach game gives him a slash of .243/.319/.526 with 18 homers and 33 runs driven in. The lack of RBI is a smidgen frustrating, but not really in his control. Goodman has established himself as one of the best fantasy catchers in the sport.
Braden Montgomery

Braden Montgomery hit a walk-off two-run homer in his MLB debut to give the White Sox a 6-5 win over Atlanta on Tuesday.

Montgomery also had an RBI single in the fourth, but obviously that’s not the headline. The 23-year-old came to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the tenth and the White Sox trailing by one, and he connected on his first MLB roundtripper to give Chicago the walk-off win. Montgomery is one of the best outfield prospects in the sport, and while fantasy managers have to be prepared for ups and downs from the outfielder in his rookie campaign, the talent is obvious. He’s absolutely worthy of roster consideration right now.
Spencer Jones

NYY Right Fielder #78

Spencer Jones hit his first major league homer, a two-run shot off Slade Cecconi, in the Yankees’ 3-2 defeat of the Guardians on Tuesday.

Jones’s homer was hit 112.2 mph and projected at 443 feet. He later had a 384-foot flyout and actually went the entire game without striking out. Jones is now 10-for-36 with two extra-base hits and a 16/3 K/BB as a major leaguer. He definitely seems more comfortable now than in his first stint. He’s still going to strike out a ton, but the contact is getting better. He needs to keep it up, since Jasson Domínguez has started a rehab assignment as he makes his way back from a shoulder strain.
Ronald Acuña Jr.

ATL Right Fielder #13

Ronald Acuña Jr. was removed from Tuesday’s game against the White Sox with left hamstring tightness.

Braves manager Walt Weiss told reporters afterwards that Acuña is day-to-day and will undergo an MRI to to determine the severity of the issue, which will determine whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list. The 28-year-old fantasy superstar came up limping following an attempt to beat out a fourth-inning chopper up the third-base line. A definitive update on his status should arrive prior to Wednesday’s showdown in Chicago.
Adley Rutschman

BAL Catcher #35

Orioles manager Craig Albernaz told reporters Adley Rutschman is day-to-day with left hamstring tightness.

Rutschman sat out his second consecutive contest on Tuesday night. It doesn’t sound like a potential injured list situation at the moment, but the Orioles can’t really afford to take any chances with Samuel Basallo playing through a wrist injury. Sam Huff has handled the catching duties in back-to-back games. There should be some additional clarity on his status heading into the final two games of the clubs’ current series against Seattle.
