Young, a first-time KFT member from Pendleton, S.C., won in his 10th career start on Tour. “What I’ve dreamed of ever since I turned pro is to win on the Korn Ferry Tour,” Young said. “This is a really special moment for me. … I’m probably going to cry later just because this is a huge deal for me. I’ve worked, you know, four, five years to try to get here.” Young closed with a 2-under 68, one of only 16 sub-par rounds on Sunday, and played bogey-free golf for his final 17 holes. Young played the Forme Tour last summer and finished 13th in the Order of Merit to earn an exemption into the Second Stage of the 2021 KFT Qualifying Tournament. He advanced to Final Stage where he finished T-29 and earned guaranteed starts into the first eight events of the 2022 season. Young played in seven KFT events between 2017-21, with six earned through successful Monday qualifiers.
