MACHRIHANISH, Scotland – Never thought I’d be so excited about trash.
A minor highlight of Machrihanish Dunes is the trash cans, which are made out of 20-year-old whiskey barrels.
These parts historically have been known for whiskey but now with the addition of Mach Dunes hopes to be known for whiskey and golf.
So every time we pass a trash can our caddie lifts the lid so we can get a whiff of old whiskey.
I’m thinking of asking the wife if we can do this in our kitchen when I get home.
