Open Qualifier Nick Mason capped his third appearance at the Sony Open in Hawaii with a final-round 4-under-par 35-31=66.

The 33-year-old went off No. 10 tee and was bogey-free 6-under thru his first 11 holes before squaring bogeys on 3 and 6 to complete his scoring. Entering the week, the former University of Hawaii-Hilo golfer had not made a cut in four career PGA TOUR events, including the 2012 & 2010 Sony, as well as the 2014 U.S. Open. Mason collected $18,662 for his T42 after rounds of 68-69-68-66 (9-under 271), and was the only one (of four) OQs to make the weekend. His only other payday prior to this week was $696.00 following a T55 at the 2015 Mundo Maya Open on the Latinoamérica Tour.
