This is the North Florida product’s first mid-tourney WD in 11 career events and ends his rookie campaign at a projected 235th in the FedExCup standings. Beginning at 40th in the Korn Ferry Tour priority rankings and with the season shortened due to the pandemic, this was just his 10th start and only made one cut, a T47 at the season-opening Greenbrier. En route to a 4-over-par 36-38=74 today, the 37-year-old outbalanced one birdie with two bogeys (both 3-jacks) and a triple, losing 1.707 strokes off-the-tee and 2.574 on-the-green. He hit a more-than-respectable 15 greens in regulation, but posted a 2.133 putts per GIR, lowlighted by a 3-putt par at the par-5 fifth from 21'6".

  • The 37-year-old rookie finally got his big break by winning on the Korn Ferry Tour last year to help him earn a PGA TOUR card. The success hasn’t translated to the big stage yet as he’s just 1-for-6 with a T47 on the season. On a positive note, he’s gained strokes off-the-tee in 77 percent of his measured rounds which would be in the top tier of drivers if he were able to maintain that pace. The lack of good results lets us know how weak the rest of his game has been. Gamers should wait for a spark before considering an investment in any format.
