Ellenson

Ellenson hasn’t played in the NBA since appearing in five games with the Nets last season. In 15 total minutes, he scored two points with six rebounds.

He’s likely headed to the Raptors’ G League affiliate, along with Oshae Brissett and Alize Johnson. Paul Watson, Yuta Watanabe and Jalen Harris will not be waived, but they’ll be buried on the rotation and aren’t worth your attention in fantasy hoops.

Anderson appeared in 15 games for the Raptors 905 this season, recording averages of 20.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 steals in 33.6 minutes per game. He was previously signed to a ten-day contract earlier this month but logged a total of just 17 minutes. No fantasy impact here.

Jordan twisted his ankle on Monday and is currently being listed as day-to-day, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him skip a few games with the Nets playing every other day for the next few weeks. If he needs to miss a few games, Jarrett Allen will get a boost while Nic Claxton and Henry Ellenson will have the opportunity to get into the rotation. For now, we’ll be considering DJ questionable for Friday’s game in Portland.

The Woj bombs are more like fire crackers these days, and Ellenson failed to make much of a splash in Detroit and New York last season. The Nets are loaded, so It would likely take injuries to make Ellenson relevant this season, and it will be interesting to see how much time he spends in the G League.

After failing to make an impact in Detroit, Ellenson showed some flashes of upside late last season in New York. However, the Knicks already have 14 players on their roster, so he may have to find a home elsewhere next season.

You know the end of the regular season is right around the corner when Ellenson starts dropping 16-point lines. With Noah Vonleh (ankle) without a timetable and DeAndre Jordan (rest) out of the rotation, Ellenson could get a long look over the final three games as he tries to revive his career after a failed stint in Detroit.

Vonleh got hurt last Friday and has since missed three games. New York isn’t trying to win games so they obviously won’t rush him back, and this could become a game-time decision. If he does play, it would likely cut into the minutes of Mario Hezonja and Henry Ellenson.

The return of DeAndre Jordan is going to squeeze Ellenson out of the mix because Noah Vonleh figures to play straight four in most matchups. Ellenson is a drop in most leagues.
