Seahawks declared LT Josh Jones (ankle/knee) active for Week 18 against the 49ers.
Jones will be the starting left tackle agaisnt the 49ers with Charles Cross (hamstring) unable to go. The inactives for the winner-take-all game for Seattle will be Cross, TE Nick Kallerup, S Coby Bryant, QB Jalen Milroe, LB Jared Ivey, OL Mason Richman and OL Bryce Cabledue.
  • Seahawks signed Ole Miss EDGE Jared Ivey.
Ivey played at Georgia Tech for his first two seasons, starting 11 games with 32 tackles and 6 TFLs as a redshirt freshman in 2021. He then spent the next three seasons as a fixture on the Ole Miss defensive line, sliding between three tech and EDGE while recording a team-high 11.5 TFLs in 2023. The Suwanee, GA native raised his game last year, playing almost exclusively EDGE and earning a pristine 90.6 overall defensive grade that ranked top-10 nationally. A smothering finisher, Ivey missed just five tackles in the last two seasons, spanning 1,102 snaps and 46 stops. Possessing a long-cut 6’6/274 frame with 33 ½-inch arms after being billed at 285 at Ole Miss. Ivey moves very fluidly for his size, and does not appear that heavy at first glance. He played a good deal of 3-Tech, and did well penetrating despite getting high sometimes, affecting his base in run support. Ivey is athletic and cagey, but doesn’t get fortified when taking on pulling guards and double teams. His positional versatility and ability to create havoc in the pass game from multiple alignments should keep him employed for a long time.
  • SEA Linebacker #51
Four-star 2020 DE Jared Ivey announced his verbal commitment to Georgia Tech on Wednesday.
Ivey is now the 22nd commit in Georgia Tech’s impressive recruiting class. Listed as the 12th-best DE in the nation per 247 Sports, Ivey is a lean pass-rusher at 6-foot-6 and 222-pounds. He will need to bulk up once he gets on campus, but his natural length and speed off the edge make him a threat even at his current weight. Ivey is currently Georgia Tech’s third-highest rated recruit.
  • SEA Linebacker #51
Uncommitted three-star 2020 DE Jared Ivey told Rivals recruiting analyst Chad Simmons that his list of schools is “still subject to change.”
On Sunday, Ivey (6'6/215) revealed a top five of Colorado, Duke, Georgia Tech, Nebraska and Stanford. But “top five” and “final five” are two entirely different things, so there is still time for other schools to work their way into the mix. “The list of schools is still subject to change, depending on what happens this fall, but I am big on these five right now as I continue to look to dial things down, and eventually make a decision,” Ivey told Simmons. The three-star EDGE, who took an official visit to Colorado in May, will visit Nebraska during the final weekend of September.

Uncommitted three-star 2020 EDGE Jared Ivey announced a top five of Colorado, Duke, Georgia Tech, Nebraska and Stanford.
Ivey (6'6/215), a senior at North Gwinnett HS in Suwanee, Georgia, took an official visit to Colorado in late May. That’s the only official that the three-star EDGE has taken thus far, but he did take unofficial visits to Georgia Tech in March, April and June. Ivey will take an official visit to Nebraska the weekend of September 28.
