Rangers prospect Joe Jackson finished a double shy of the cycle Tuesday in a win for High-A High Desert.
Jackson’s solo shot in the second inning was his first of the season. Prior to Tuesday, Jackson had been hitless in his last eight at-bats with four strikeouts. This is Jackson’s second full season in the minors after hitting .293 in 86 games for Low-A Hickory in 2014. The 23-year-old is a distant relative of the famous “Shoeless” Joe Jackson.
