    Both will be Dolphins’ property until at least training camp. Eckel is a Navy product who was thrown out of the service after being charged with two counts of assault and one of sexual assault last October.

    Getting the nod from coaches is probably more prestigious than being voted in by the fans, when all’s said and done. Denney, 32, was rewarded with a four-year, $3.03M extension before the season. He’s signed through 2013.
