Kyle O’Quinn has reportedly agreed to a deal with Paris Basketball, according to George Zakkas of Sports DNA.
O’Quinn most recently played for Fenerbahce in Turkey, and prior to that he played 29 games for Philly in 2019-20. It’s likely that his NBA playing days are over.

  • NBA Center #9
Kyle O’Quinn handed out a career-high 11 dimes in a spot-start on Tuesday, adding nine points, 10 rebounds, two steals, one block and one turnover across 32 minutes.
KOQ matched his previous career-high (seven) in dimes at the half and it was interesting to see the 250-pound big man operating as Philly’s primary offensive creator today considering his career-average in dimes is just 1.3. That said, if the main guys are out again tomorrow, KOQ will clearly be someone to consider as a DFS punt play.

  • MIA Shooting Guard #18
Shake Milton, Alec Burks, Matisse Thybulle, Mike Scott and Kyle O’Quinn will start against the Suns on Tuesday.
Milton is the only regular starter available for Philly today, so he should see big minutes and a lot of shots falling his way. Burks usage spikes to 36.3 with Al Horford (knee), Ben Simmons (knee), Joel Embiid (ankle), Josh Richardson (rest) and Tobias Harris (ankle) off the floor, so he’s someone to consider rolling the dice on in DFS.

  • PHI Center #21
Joel Embiid (left ankle) won’t return to Sunday’s game.
Embiid appeared to roll his ankle but it’s being called a “left ankle injury,” so it’s possible there’s more going on than a sprain. The hits keep coming for the Sixers, who will have to rely on Al Horford, Norvel Pelle, and Kyle O’Quinn if Embiid misses additional time.

  • NBA Center #9
Kyle O’Quinn will be available to play on Wednesday vs. the Wizards.
He was inactive on Monday after missing a coronavirus test, but he’s now posts consecutive negative tests and will be available today. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll take the floor, though.

  • NBA Center #9
Kyle O’Quinn is ineligible for Monday’s game vs. the Spurs because he missed his coronavirus test on Sunday.
He’ll be tested on Monday and can rejoin his teammates after a negative test. This means nothing for fantasy purposes with KOQ out of the rotation. We’ll leave him off the injury report as long as he tests negative.

  • NBA Center #9
Kyle O’Quinn scored three points with 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 14 minutes against the Knicks on Thursday.
He currently has the backup center role with all of the backup minutes to Al Horford. O’Quinn was ahead of Norvel Pelle and O’Quinn did play well, so he should hold his role with minutes in the teens. He’s really just a deep-league stream even with Joel Embiid (shoulder) out for at least one week.
  • PHI Center #21
Joel Embiid (left shoulder sprain) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Knicks.
This isn’t the least bit surprising after Embiid was forced out of Wednesday’s game with the shoulder injury, and the team is still evaluating exactly what he’s dealing with. He was scheduled to undergo an MRI today, but we still don’t have those results. Unfortunately, Embiid is likely looking at a multi-game absence here, and with both him and Ben Simmons (back) out, Tobias Harris, Josh Richardson and Al Horford will see a sizeable uptick in usage. Matisse Thybulle, Furkan Korkmaz and Kyle O’Quinn will be more involved in the rotation.

Kyle O’Quinn scored six points (2-of-5 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with two rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes against the Cavs on Wednesday.
O’Quinn added a season-high-tying four blocks versus Cleveland. He was called into action for the first time in awhile due to Joel Embiid leaving the game with a shoulder injury. Embiid looks certain to miss at least one game, so KOQ could see some minutes against the Knicks on Thursday, though it’s important to mention that Norvel Pelle (illness) was out tonight. KOQ isn’t a fantasy option.
  • NBA Center #9
Kyle O’Quinn (coach’s decision) is inactive for Saturday’s game against the Bucks.
Norvel Pelle has passed up O’Quinn in the 76ers’ rotation, so the veteran big didn’t offer much in the way of fantasy value to begin with. It’s highly unlikely that he’ll be a waiver wire option in any league for the remainder of the season.
