Cardinals DE Kylie Fitts announced his retirement from the NFL after four seasons.
In a post on Instagram, Fitts cited his history of concussions, including a recently suffered concussion that he described as severe, as the reason he chose to retire. He was drafted by the Bears in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft but ultimately played most of his four-year career in Arizona. Fitts was a consistent special teams contributor for the Cardinals while also seeing some reps on the defensive line. He ends his career with 15 total tackles across 28 games.

Bears selected Utah DE Kylie Fitts with the No. 181 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Fitts (6’4/263) made 23 starts in an injury-plagued three-year stint with the Utes, logging seven sacks and four forced fumbles as a redshirt freshman in 2015, then missing all but two games in 2016 with a broken foot, and missing four games last year due to various injuries. Healthy for the Combine, Fitts showed his athletic prowess with 82nd-percentile SPARQ results, including 4.69 speed and elite agility scores. As Fitts hasn’t produced consistently in three years, he is an NFL projection as an edge player with big upside but a low floor.
