Cardinals acquired 2B prospect Brayden Smith from the Orioles in exchange for LHP Nick Raquet.
Smith was a 13th-round pick in the 2025 MLB Draft out of Oklahoma State. He hit .200/.343/.327 with three steals in 16 games last season in his professional debut. He has experience in the outfield as well.
