Nationals purchased the contract of RHP Brett Campbell from Triple-A New Orleans.
The 24-year-old Campbell pitched at three levels this season, amassing a 3.12 ERA and 16 saves in 57 2/3 innings. He’s probably not ready to help right now, but he could be a decent reliever in time.
