Valderrama

None of these three were candidates to be claimed. Valderrama used to resemble a prospect, but he turned out to be too injury prone. Dallimore spent time in the majors last season as a sixth infielder.

It’s rather surprising that the Giants brought up Valderrama instead of bringing back Jason Ellison. Valderrama had just joined Fresno this week after spending the first 2 1/2 months with Double-A Norwich (.308-1-18-13). He’s not really a prospect, and although he’s getting the start in center tonight, he’s not going to get much playing time.

Valderrama went 1-for-7 during his time with the Giants.
