Red Sox acquired outfielder Cory Keylor from the Orioles for catcher Alberto Castillo.
How incredibly stupid do the Orioles have to be to trade their minor league player of the year for a No. 3 catcher? Well, not very. The 27-year-old Keylor received the honor for hitting .294/.365/.415 with 10 homers and six steals for Double-A Bowie last season. The Red Sox shouldn’t even have room for him in their Triple-A outfield with David Murphy, Brandon Moss and Alex Ochoa set to occupy spots.
