Jason DuBois will likely be returned to Triple-A Iowa later this week to accomodate the return of both Sammy Sosa and Mark Grudzielanek.
Going into last night’s game DuBois was batting .167 (2-for-12) with an RBI. It’s not as if he will be missed.

The Cubs will call up either Jason DuBois or David Kelton from Class AAA Iowa today to take the roster spot of the injured Sammy Sosa.
DuBois may be the better choice, however if Todd Hollandsworth is going to get the majority of the playing time while Sosa is out of action, Kelton may be the Cubs’ preference.

Indians optioned outfielder Jason Dubois to Triple-A Buffalo.
Dubois had a 766 OPS in 33 at-bats since joining the Indians. Jeff Liefer had a 585 OPS in 32 at-bats while Hafner was out. We don’t understand what kind of thought process led to this decision now. The Indians didn’t think Liefer was the better use of the roster spot two weeks ago, and Liefer’s performance shouldn’t have done anything to change their minds.

Indians recalled outfielder Jason Dubois from Triple-A Buffalo.
Dubois went 5-for-23 with three homers in six games for Buffalo. He’ll resume playing against left-handers.

Indians optioned outfielder Jason Dubois to Triple-A Buffalo.
Jeff Liefer again gets picked over Dubois for no good reason. The Indians seem to be down on the outfielder already.

Triple-A Iowa’s Jason Dubois went 3-for-5 with two home runs on Saturday.
Dubois is still hitting .320/.394/.638 for Iowa. The Cubs could let Moises Alou go to open up left field for the 25-year-old next season. We’re not all that optimistic it will happen, though.

Cubs recalled outfielder Jason Dubois from Triple-A Iowa.
Dubois’ .316/.389/.630 line in Triple-A should make him a candidate to play regularly next year. However, he’ll only be a pinch-hitter this month.

Jason Dubois homered, doubled and drove in three runs yesterday for Mazatlan of the Mexican Pacific League.
A big fall wouldn’t do a lot to help Dubois’ case for a starting job in 2005, but it can’t hurt. At the very least, he should get a chance to win a spot as a fourth outfielder next spring.

Starting in place of Sammy Sosa, Jason Dubois homered, tripled and drove in four runs today.
We’d like to see Dubois become the Cubs’ regular left fielder next season, but it doesn’t seem all that likely to happen. Even if it does, the Dusty factor would make him a risky pick in NL-only leagues.

Jason Dubois went 2-for-2 with a home run, four RBI and two walks Thursday for Mazatlan of the Mexican Pacific League.
Dubois is hitting .250/.373/.500 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 17 games in Mexico.
